I'm trying to make sense of the timeframe I could expect to wait for my Hybrid XLT, which was ordered on 1 November 2021. I read that there have been 20,000+ Mavs already built. I also read that there have been over 100,000 reservations received and that the max number that can be built is 800/day, or 4,000/week. To simplify, let's say there have been 120,000 reservations minus 20,000 built equals 100,000 more to build. At 4,000/week, it will take 25 weeks to get all of them off the production line and rolling to their owners. #100,000 should be on the transport on May 25, 2022, all things being equal, which of course, they aren't. For those in the know, is this a realistic assumption?

My guess, and its only a guess, is that we will likely see ours in the april/may time frame, though yours may come sooner than mine despite ordering the same day. More options means more potential for delays.

May the odds be ever in your favor, lol

Reservations are not the same as orders. The number of reservations which have actually been converted to orders is guesswork but can be said with some surety to be less than 100,000.

Have seen/heard speculation ranging from 35,000 to 60,000 confirmed orders. But speculation is all those numbers represent.

You forget the greatest variable of all happening right now. Supply Chain Shortage.

That can and probably will completely change your timeline.

Model Year 2023 is my guess at this point. July 7 order here and still not scheduled. Added the lux package with drop in liner to speed it up a few weeks ago and still can't get scheduled.

I've read this in other posts, that a confirmed order for a 2022 can become a build with a 2023 window sticker. How is that possible?

That factory also builds other Ford vehicles. So that also needs to be put into your math. I think it builds at least 3 other vehicles and swaps between them. The shortages doesn't help much either. Once the supply chain normalizes it will be a little faster. Hopefully.

The Hermosillo factory only produces the Maverick and Bronco Sport, both concurrently.

So I would like to put a positive spin on my response but I can’t, forget about the numbers you are quoting, math does not apply in helping you gauge any type of delivery date. Ford changes the algorithms constantly because they say that this commodity or the other is in short supply, they do give you the opportunity of ordering a truck with components and packages you may not need or want, if you happen to order a truck they don’t have parts for then hang on for the roller coaster ride of your life.

Ford decides what they want to build regardless of when you ordered it and what you ordered. The dealers and you are at the mercy of the asinine allocation system that they can also change at the drop of a hat.

You want a fast build then order a truck Ford has parts available to build the truck and hope it comes with a few commodities that you really need.

Good Luck

Are you saying the 100,000 number that has been published includes dealer stock reservations which are behind all the 35k to 60k actual customer confirmed orders?

One more time. The 100,000 number was for reservations, not for confirmed orders. Not everyone who put in a reservation advanced to converting it to an order with a dealer, for whatever reason(s) they may have had for not doing so.

Given Ford cut off hybrid orders on 11/15, your truck should be expected to be built toward the end of MY22 production. I'm not certain what month that will be. Other variables could bump you ahead of others who ordered before you (better dealer allocation situation, lack of constrained items, etc.).

There are also people like myself who made multiple reservations.
My local dealerships dragged their feet on converting the reservations to an order so I ordered through Chapman.
