I ordered my XL Hybrid June 14 and remember telling my wife I hoped to have it by Thanksgiving, maybe sooner, but also told her there was a chance it might not arrive until the end of the year. Then I said, just to cover my a$$ that it might not arrive until next year.

Well it was built 3 weeks ago, just waiting to ship out to me. I can't really complain, especially with my fellow club members still waiting to get scheduled.
Yours likely would have made it by Thanksgiving if it weren't for the EPA delay.

I hope you're wrong because that would probably mean mine gets pushed back to May. But I'm willing to wait, too, even if that's the case.
Keep in mind that those who ordered in June, July, and August had NO scheduling or production going on. Hybrids are being built now at a decent pace, can expect to be shipping at a fairly fast pace starting in December. Dealerships are undoubtedly pressuring Ford to get these things delivered so they can be sold by the end of the year.

Bottom line, I personally think that all current 2022 Maverick orders will be shipped by the end of March. Ford doesn't want to still be trying to fill 2021 special orders at the same time it's getting ready to market 2023 Mavericks.

When did the first scheduling emails go out?

I agree they have to be done early in the year prior to next year announcements.

If they are delayed passed spring many will jump ship to the 2023 model if there are better options depending on price.

At the time I ordered on 8/21, the dealer estimated delivery of my hybrid Maverick the 1st week of January. Based on everything learned here thus far, I've adjusted my expectations quite a bit. This is what I'm currently thinking:

12/30/21 - receive scheduling email
2/13/22 - build date identified in email
3/31/22 - arrival at dealer

So nearly 3 months later than originally thought. I hope it's a little faster but trying to be realistic. How much have your expectations changed?
Well I ordered my Hybrid XLT on 6/28 and still no scheduled build date!

Ordered a First Edition on 6/10, since the First Edition is only available for the 2022 model year I just know I will get it by summer 2022. 🎃
You may need to drop the tonneau. It is likely holding you up.

Ordered my XLT hybrid on Aug 12 th took off the tonneau cover and mudflaps was hoping to get it this year? LOL the only thing left on it it's a luxury package and the 360 Copilot now hopeing to get it by Spring wanted to go ahead and take it cross country. My dealership is a small one and only get about one or two stock units a month luckily couple weeks ago I got the drive one of their EcoBoost Maverick I absolutely fell in love with it. By the way if you're in West Tennessee they sell their stock units at MSRP no markup take care and let's all hang in there.

Weird the build date was removed instead of pushed back again.

Supposedly due to EPA
Many hybrid buyers have build dates that have been moved forward or backward. This is the first I've heard of someone getting notified that the build date has been removed.

As best I can tell by scrolling back through the forums, the first scheduling emails went out on 7/29 for builds in September, which is contrary to what I said earlier about not scheduling in July.

Me too. Makes you wonder if they ran out of something they need to build it.
