I'm averaging 24.6mpg. mostly highway at 70-75mph. My Focus ST gets way better mileage and I drive it like an asshole... ;)

I expect this only to get better. Reset after dealer fill up.

110.8 miles @ 22.2mpg

Cold tire pressure: 33psi
Ambient temps: 65-85 degrees
Geography: No grade higher than 2 degrees
HVAC set to auto @ 70 degrees for 75% of miles // off the rest
No throttle input greater than 60%

Mixed driving of varying speeds but only about 20% highway.

EDIT: Also of note - coming from a Model 3 - I am a big fan of the brake hold when you come to a complete stop so you don't have to have your foot on the brake.

Brake hold overrides ASS - kind of interesting. I'm not a fan of ASS but I do like to be efficient so I'll put up with it. So I'll use brake hold only in heavy traffic or in city driving.

Mines a lariat lux tremor. 90% city driving so far for me and I have been grannying it until it's broken in. I'm suspecting something might be wrong because I am at around a half tank on my second fill-up already... 250 miles per tank is abysmal.

did you not reset the trip meter, or what? how many miles were on it when you purchased it? any test drive miles probably were not very fuel efficient.

I got it with 26 miles and reset trip and everything. Actual odometer difference from last full fill divided by gallons pumped at the pump back to full gives me actual mpg of right around 16.8, kind of shocked to be honest. Set up an appointment with Ford to see what may be up because it seems so far off from everyone else.

You said 90% city driving, right? Honestly, I'm not sure this isn't accurate. From everything I can tell with my truck, accelerating and hills absolutely KILL fuel economy. If I'm on a flat interstate and I set the cruise control at 62 mph, I can get great fuel economy -- like 28-30 mpg.

But if you're stoping and starting all the time, or going up hills, it just isn't that great.

I think it's hard to just compare to what others on the forum report, because it's really impossible to know the terrain they are driving, traffic conditions and driving habits.

Let us know what you come up with, but I bet if you take a drive over to somewhere where you can cruise at a constant speed on relatively flat ground you will see a MAJOR improvement.

Seems like there would also be opport

All good, I like to hear multiple points of view. Maybe we’ll catch the eye of a lucky Tremor owner sooner or later, though! 🤞
So hard to define real world MPG for any vehicle. Way too many variables… so EPA gives us at least a benchmark.
I owned a 22 XLT FX4 that was completely stock and it was far better mileage wise, than my 23 XLT Tremor. which has Falken Wildpeaks 245 x 65 x 17. These are Awesome Tires! They are way chunkier and better off-road than the stock 235 x 65 x17 OEM Falken’s! Originally I had bought Nitto RidgeGrapplers 245 x 65 x 17’s. Although they looked great, they were way too noisy, and fuel mileage suffered a lot! -2 mpg city and barely got 24 Hwy at best!
I live in the western side of Arizona in the Tri State area. I regularly travel to Phoenix, Williams/Flagstaff (7500’ elev),
Southern California. I travel at about 78-80 mph (AZ) 72-77 mph (CA). Winds are typically variable to strong and various directions. These are MY numbers…
‘22 FX4 2k miles
City=24.8 / Hwy=29.5 / Comb= 26.5
‘23 Tremor 10.5k miles
City= 22.7 / Hwy 27.3 / Comb = 23.9

Just finished off my first tank of dealer fill (87, non-top tier fuel) and ended on 22.6mpg. This included some miles and idling showing off to friends and a light foot on the throttle.

I filled with premium top tier fuel (93, Shell) and immediately started to register MPG above 25. After backing into my garage it fell to 24.8mpg which I never came close to with 87.

I expect lower MPG than everyone else because I am running my tire's cold psi at 33 and unless it goes over 90 they are usually running 36psi in the front and 35-36 at the rear.

It sounds odd - probably for a majority of folks who view this as an economy truck/vehicle - but the engine performs so much better on 93, I've made the decision to invest in the vehicle for the next 10 years and 150k miles.

Over the life of my Maverick - I might spend $4-5k more in top tier premium fuel and high end motor oil with religious changes (every 5k) and our Mavericks might last the same amount of time, and I might only off set $2k of that cost in efficiency improvements - but to me it is worth it.

And if I am committing to 93, a @COBB Tuning or Ford tune makes even MORE sense.

Here’s what I got during a recent trip to Big Sky, MT and back, average Highway MPH was 84

IMG_5539.jpeg
This hits with what I am getting. Will post a picture of my trip screen tomorrow (legit just got in and thought - oh I'll check MTC) but I just did a down and back from Columbus, OH to Boone, NC (850 miles) and averaged 26.1 mpg for the trip.
  • I don't cannonball run it but It is driven with pace. My wife gives my son dramamine so he doesn't throw up in the car anymore
  • Probably average around 80mph
  • When I get into the mountains of NC - getting to my property has multiple 10-11 degree climbs on gravel roads.
  • I also took a second to engage 4wd lock and hoon the Maverick down some washboard roads. It liked it up until 45 mph......I hit the bump stops going a little quicker.

My Tremor has 1,430 miles on it currently and the fuel economy since purchase is 25.3mpg

Which isn't great but that is true mixed use with a slight lean to highway and it beats the EPA estimate so I can't really be upset.

Can some of the new Tremor owners comment on their real world fuel economy for us? Highway mpg is more important for me, and I’m trying to determine if I need to change back to an FX4 4k tow. Wasn’t expecting to see that 24 mpg estimate on the Tremor from Ford. Thanks!
21.6ish once made it to 22 mpg's.... Driven under 2000 miles though. But dam she is pretty :) Oxford White TAP

I'm at 24.6 with 1300 miles on the cluster. Coming from a Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid that averaged 30.
