Dear fellow Mav-freaks. After 429 days (7/5/2021), Ford finally notified me that my Maverick was built. One week later I was notified that it had been shipped. After checking the window sticker, it also came with the factory price increase. MSRP (XLT) went up $1080. Lux package went up $155 and CP360 went up $110. For a total price increase of $1,345.
When speaking to the dealer about this price discrepancy (and how long I had to wait), he mentioned that I was covered with "price protection." He outlined that I would pay the current MSRP for the truck and that Ford would issue me a payment for the difference from the initial order. When pressed, the salesperson offered absolutely no assurances whatsoever. Only that, "people with order dates similar to/and after yours have been issued a payment in 30-90 days and that it may or may not be for the full amount"
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this legitimate or is this typical stealership bullshit?
