Previous vehicle before your Maverick?

We had a new 2023 Ford Ranger for 6 months before we traded it for our new 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat. The Maverick was exactly what we needed.

I drove a 2013 Smart car for the past 12 years. Little small but loads of fun to drive. 46 mpg. What more could you ask for? Then came the Maverick. Overall mileage at 4890 miles is 49.2 mpg. Better mileage, better ride, just better!!! Love the Mav. I guess I’ll keep the Smart “gas hog” a little longer.

A 2023 RAV4 that I drove all of 6 months before totaling it. I loved it, but I love the Maverick more. It was one of the higher trim levels and I have an XLT now, so the fit and finish isn't as good. I sort of miss ACC and built in Sirius/XM. I thought I would miss Toyota's version of pleather seats, but I don't. Otherwise the Mav smokes the yota in every way and cost me $8k less. Better mileage, hauls more, tows better, and looks better. I have a 2024 Lariat supposedly being built the week of 5/6 but I think I'm keeping this one. ACC and pleather seats aren't worth the monetary hit I'd likely have to absorb.

2021 Ram 3500 crew cab with 8 foot bed. Cummins high output diesel (1000 ft lbs of torque}. Very, very different from my Maverick and I am very pleased with it.

Just curious what some Maverick owners were driving before getting their Maverick and how it stacks up?
I am currently waiting (possibly my own fault, or Fords?) I absolutely loved the look & concept of the Maverick from the get go. I debated for to long and missed out on ordering one, so after calling dealerships over and over, I found one that was ordered in as inventory, not assigned yet. So now it's mine, and now I wait..... Anyways, my current vehicle is a 2019 F-150 special edition (blacked out) in the Magma colour. I did exhaust and CAI, which helps with fuel mileage, but I don't need this big truck, to be honest I miss my old 04 VW diesel station wagon, that I had before my F-150.

We didn't get rid of any vehicles to get our Maverick, but we did give my wife's CR-V to my newly driving daughter. So, we have two more vehicles not in the below picture.

2003 Chevy Avalanche, over 200k miles. I was having trouble deciding when to make a change, and then thieves stole it and I made the move to a Maverick. I wanted something for truck stuff, but I didn’t like the size or mpgs of the Chevy. Didn’t hurt to have a technology upgrade from the 6 CD stereo too

1984 Toyota Pickup SR5 4WD.

My Dad bought this truck used in July 1986 with 28,000 miles on it. I assumed ownership sometime after he passed in early 2009 and drove it on occasion until I sold it the day after the Maverick was delivered in December 2023. The Toyota had a little over 66k miles when I sold it.

My 2024 Maverick is a pleasure to drive. Although the Toyota was a pretty cool truck, it was relatively primitive and was a bit of a chore to drive. I really don’t miss it.

I traded my 2020 escape se with all wheel drive adaptive cruise control and navigation for a maverick lariat with the same features a must for me. Escape was excellent no problems. Awesome drive ability. I needed a truck for hauling. The Maverick having the escape platform was ideal for me. I have had it for 26 days i have better visability and more room in the seating area. So far the only complaint is that the leather seats smell terrible. Sorry the lariat does not have awd and it is a hybrid. frank

2021 Chevy Spark, was my first new car. Traded it on the Maverick. Was a definite step up…

Wrangler 4xe Plugin hybrid. I loved it but not the price. It was great not using gas driving locally but I drive alot of highway miles and thats not what PHEVs do best. My Maverick is not even broken in but my mileage is still better than the 4xe supplemented with electric.
