They put a Motocraft battery in it, don't know if that's a plus or not. Time will tell. I'm just glad it didn't strand me. Took the tender off of the bike and put it on the truck overnight to make sure it's full charged in the morning.

It's fixed. Battery had a bad cell and was replaced under warranty. Hopefully be good to go for a while now. Thank you all for your input!:)

Yeah, thinking the battery is about beat. Will give the Ford lot a call this morning, still well inside the 3yr/36k warranty.

Went out and checked it. Multimeter says, 12.13V truck off, 15.0V truck running. Offhand that sounds a bit low and a bit high, or is that normal for these trucks?

I got one from Amazon, fits perfect and heavily made. Can’t remember what it cost but it wasn’t a lot ($30-$35 roughly). Also have tint on the windshield that supposedly blocks 98% of UV.

Check out HiFlo filters. They make K&N's filters and have the same nut tacked on the end (I use them on my bikes), and are several $$ cheaper without the K&N name on them.. :wink:

Lol, the filter that came on mine from the factory literally just said "FORD" on it, nothing else. White filter, black letters..😄

Got mine yesterday. Says there's an active recall on my truck, but they don't know what to do about it and they would send me another letter when they did.. 🙄

Mine came with it and so far looks to be doing it's job. Terrain color, but you can barely notice the film being on there (I didn't until the first time I washed it and went to dry it😄). I don't know if I would have checked the option box myself, but since it was already on there..

I dumped mine at 2000 miles, stuff stunk to high heaven. Don’t know what kind of nasty crap Ford puts in them, but hopefully they don’t put it back in when I go for the 10k “first service” (will be its third oil change by then). Didn’t find the FX4 skid plate to be a big deal. Has a tab to hold...

One thing I notice with the 4k towing package and the extra cooling capacity, now that the morning temps are dropping into the 30's, it's starting to struggle to hold it's heat up. Normal is 4 marks on the temp gauge, but on the cooler mornings (and they will get much colder as the winter comes...

Maverick has an oil change monitor but I do them every 5k miles and will just reset the monitor when it goes off.

I did a 1” level on mine to, well, level it. Not running around nose down like a Hyundai Santa Fe now.
