That's good to hear. Anyone actual have experience using this coverage? I've only ever had to use AAA towing and they were great.
Think you use your ford pass app. go to the service icon.

While driving on the Fwy today, i experienced the engine malfunction on my dash and lost power. Going from 70mpg to 20 in a matter of seconds. I took this video of how it sounded when i was exiting rhe fwy. Sounds like a Rod is gonna break free! Had it towed to my dealership and hopefully they can fix it... I really want it fixed and would not want it to be bought back from me. Love my Maverick Hybrid. 2022 with 26K miles.

I wasn’t on the freeway but this happened to my 22 as well yesterday. Did you have the software update recently? Mine was updated 2 weeks ago.

I’ve seen other people here and other forums experience a power loss after getting the update.

what I’m not sure of if it’s happened twice (or more) to anyone yet.

I hope someone finds out which update is causing this and start posting it. I don't think it's the tailight and cluster recall that is doing this. From what I have been trying to decifer in the various threads is that it has to do with the PCM (power control module) update. But know one has verified this yet.

My update was the software update for a recall. Supposed to fix the grabby brakes issue too, which it did for me.

I can’t remember the specific update though. Might have been for an emissions issue?

I believe its 23E09. Mine has the problem since that recall was done. And... It has happened 3 times since. Twice to me an at least once to the dealer. I will post any info I get as it comes to me.

2023 hybrid, 19k miles (30500 km). I took it in for the tail lamp and PCM recalls. The following week I had both CV axles replaced. A week later I was driving about 40mph, and as I was braking the transmission started clunking, the engine and maintenance lights came on, the shifter dial started flashing, and a message popped up saying service vehicle soon. The truck would only go about 10 mph. I could drive it to the dealer (1 block away). The service mgr said several codes popped up but had no idea what the issue was. They said it went into neutral at 10 mph (when I was braking). They suggested it might be the 12v battery or the shifter module, but were not certain. They did a test drive and it drove fine. They kept the service ticket open and said for me to drive it and bring it back in case it happened again.

Update: It happened again y/day. 22k miles (36000 km). It happened crossing the Ambassador Bridge. I went over a bump, then it lost power. This time the tranny didn't clunk, it just lost power and went into limp mode. It's at a different dealer this time. The dealer couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Please see TomsFMAV post and have your dealer check for this immediately!

I had the power train malfunction issue. Dashboard lit up like a xmas tree! I called ford road service and it went well until they said it would be 3 hours. AAA was there in 10 minutes. Unfortunately that cost me $50 cash because of distance. Took several days at dealer to figure out I needed a battery. They also did recalls and an oil leak. All covered by warranty @ 20k miles

Was it the hybrid battery they replaced or the 12 volt one under the back seat?
