I don't think there is any specific time it happens. Seems to be different for all of us so far. Mine happened on at freeway speeds.
So far so good with the reprogramming on mine. I hope it stays that way.
I got my Maverick back today. Dealer did the reprogramming of the reprogramming of the PCM and SOBDMC.
I will post if any new issues come up. Crossing my fingers!
Oh no! Sorry to hear that.
I just got info from my dealer. The reprogramming IS available. They are just waiting to confirm with Ford engineers that it will fix the issue on my Maverick. Before hand. On mine they said its affecting coms of ABS and Powertrain module.
Welcome to the club! Mines been at the dealer for about a month because of this. They say Ford engineers are trying come up with a new program for the Powertrain module. Yes this is a safety issue for sure. It all started for me after a bunch of recalls were done. I speculate its recall #23E09...
Did the reprograming to latest software level fix it on yours? Or was that part of the recall?
By the way mine is at Star Ford in Glendale. I see you are in Pasadena. What dealer are you using?
Thanks for sharing that.
I don't quite understand what the invalid data is that the
ECM/PCM is getting.
About what speed were you going when it happened? Both times it happened to me I was at freeway speeds probably 60 to 70 mph.
Thats pretty much same with me. Mine is sitting at the dealer waiting to hear from ford engineers on it. Its been 3 weeks now and no fix. I believe its recall 23E09 that is the cause. Im speculating. You would think they would try reverting it back to the old program before the recall just to...
I believe its 23E09. Mine has the problem since that recall was done. And... It has happened 3 times since. Twice to me an at least once to the dealer. I will post any info I get as it comes to me.

I will try to keep you posted as to what they do to mine. They have been able to confirm it IS happening. So far they are doing further investigating. They also mentioned reverting the program back to what it was before the recall was done. They said it would be a few days and may need to...
LA. Yes thats what mine did. Dealer said it was fixed and I went about 7 miles got on the freeway it did it again. It goes into a limp mode so I took it back to the dealer and there it sits. It all started after I took it in for recalls. Reprograming the powertrain module was one of the things...
