I have yet to do the signal light recall thing, and I just got this same notification about an hour ago while driving on the highway. I didnāt feel any reduction in power, it sort of felt like my AWD was active though?Thatās not good. Sounds like a bunch of similar issues after doing the recall software updates⦠I will hold off on the recalls for now.
Probably nothing major for you as you have the 2.0. The people having most of these issues are the hybrid owners..I have yet to do the signal light recall thing, and I just got this same notification about an hour ago while driving on the highway. Iām hoping I can get in touch with my dealer in the morning and have this sorted out.
I hope not. Itās actually a power train AWD malfunction or something like thatProbably nothing major for you as you have the 2.0. The people having most of these issues are the hybrid owners..
In this thread, it appears to be affecting the year 2022 Mavericks. Correct me if I am wrong.
Do you know which part they replaced?Yes, the reprogramming fixed my issue for now. On the FB group a memeber said that the dealer replaced his part. Which they didnt replace anything on mine besides the software. I'm using Envision/Advantage Ford in Duarte. It's "close" to my home and they get Lyfts for me. Your Mav has the same issue as mine? Keep me posted on what your dealer does.
Cheers!
Close to being down three weeks for me. Iāve been told āFord Corporateā is still trying to diagnose.Update:
I spoke with the service department today. The tech spoke with Ford, and since the Hybrid PCM and main PCM are having problems, they are going to replace the distribution module, which is the control between the two PCMs. It will take three days for the part to get here.
I'm beginning to get frustrated. This is a clear safety issue when driving, and now I'll be out of a vehicle for at least a week.
Nop, he didn't say...Do you know which part they replaced?
Hello, today I had the exact same issue with my '23 XLT hybrid. Thankfully I was not going very fast but the truck suddenly slowed down like someone had just slammed gear shift into low. It would not accelerate when pressing the accelerator pedal but when I let off it seemed to take off on its own. Thankfully I was only about a mile from my home and was able to Coast home with it accelerating on its own. This seems like a serious safety issue. I had Ford roadside assistance send a tow truck and it's currently sitting at a Ford dealer waiting for a diagnosis tomorrow. I just hit 18,000 miles, had the blinker recall done about a month ago.Hello,
I am new to this forum thing and this thread caught my attention so I created an account.
On Sunday Morning I was driving on the freeway and got what everybody else is getting,
Check engine light
Power train light (wrench)/reduced power
Brake light
pre-collision light/pre-collision unavailable
Hill assist message
Will engage in gear selected at low speed.
Pulled over, shut it off, turned it back on, put in drive and it started accelerating on its own but only up to about 20mph, stopped and shut it off again. Turned back on and all the messages and light disappeared except check engine light remained on. Drove home and parked it. Monday after work, got in it all light were gone, talked with dealer and they said bring it in saw a bunch of codes. Drove it there and didn't have any issues. I am scared to take on the highway to work which I do everyday. It did have the recent software update regarding the emissions control system and something about brake lights. . That was done around 36650 miles and this new issue came up around 36880 miles.
Dealer will not get to it for another couple of days. Will see what happens.
Welcome to the club! Mines been at the dealer for about a month because of this. They say Ford engineers are trying come up with a new program for the Powertrain module. Yes this is a safety issue for sure. It all started for me after a bunch of recalls were done. I speculate its recall #23E09 for my 2022 maverick hybrid that is the cause.Hello, today I had the exact same issue with my '23 XLT hybrid.
