2023 delivered in April with 30k already. No issues.

The braking can be inconsistent if I'm trying to finesse a stop with regen, but it's not grabby or slipping enough to be a problem.

I've locked it up a few times avoiding deer and drunks, and I'm very impressed with the short stopping distance and how all of my toolboxes flipped and emptied all over inside the bed. I'm surprised nothing ended up in the cab!

2023 XLT with Lux package, delivered May 2023, 5800 trouble free miles. I'm liking this truck better than I expected to. Around town/region driving is yielding mid 40s MPG, highway driving is still getting high 30s.

I see many posts on this forum that mention problems with Mav Hybrids like "Deep Sleep", axle problems, grabby brakes, etc. Are these the exception or the norm?

I'd like to know how many people on this forum have had NO problems with their Mav Hybrids.

Please comment only if yours is a Hybrid, with NO problems and please include:
1) Model Year
2) Month/Year of delivery
2) # of problem free miles

My Hybrid Lariat, MY24 (23 rollover) is in production now (Oct 26, 2023) and I hope to have it soon. I'm optimistic that my Maverick will be problem free for many years and miles.

My wife's 23 XL hybrid delivered July 23. Now has 3k miles and zero problems. I believe most of the earlier problems with hybrids were corrected by summer 23.

22 Hybrid XLT. Ordered July 21, received July 22. 16,000 miles. Radio freezes now and then but recovers with re-start of engine. Had software update to fix grabbing at low speed by electric brake. Seems to have fixed the issue. Otherwise, no issues.

I received my xl hybrid July 7 and have had no issues with the truck with almost 6000 miles (mostly highway). I think the brake problem that most people are having with the Mav hybrid is the regenerative braking. Being used to driving vehicles with power disc brakes the braking feels strange as it shifts to capture the braking energy for charging the battery. I drive several different vehicles regularly and though each one has a "different " brake feel they are similar...The Mav regenerative brakes are a whole new game. My biggest problem is I keep reaching for a shift lever. Muscle memory of 50+ plus years ... old habits are hard to break

Zero problems here. Today, I'll get to see how the gas filler door works for the first time.

Picked it up Mid September... Just over a year from order to delivery. 2022 Lariat Hybrid.
Zero issues. Added Ford's tri-fold tonneau cover after visiting a friend who had 2 aftermarket ones. It was 2 different ones and they both clamped so low that it interfered with the cargo management system(CMS). Ford's does NOT interfere.
I've always used hard roll ups but the trifold made more sense since it takes up hardly any bed space.

*There were 17 miles on the odometer when I picked it up and the dealer had filled the tank for me.

Oddly enough, I don't remember resetting the Trip 1 Odo but it shows:

Obviously, I'm not putting up a lot of miles. It's about 8 miles to work. I'm also not winning any mileage contests on this forum but I notice that my mileage is 41.6mpg in the last 493.2 miles but was 40.6 over the 529.1 miles. I suppose I'm learning to drive a bit more efficiently.

I'm writing this up as I got to work a little early. The gas station is literally across the street. I'm not going to try to stretch it to 550 miles because that's just crazy talk.

Mostly, my driving is just me. 50/50 highway and local roads. Though, my highway driving is in the 60-70 mph range. It's Nebraska and the hills are minimal. I used the AC and heat as appropriate. I have taken a load of boxes to my daughter's storage place. (She's moved all the way out!!!) I also took a bicycle to another daughter's place. I stood it up in the bed facing forward, tailgate down. I wanted to use the CMS. We also went out to eat a few times and had several people in the Maverick.

Basically, I treated it as a normal truck.

One thing that I think Ford missed the mark on is in the electric drive. This truck could use at least 10% more electric power and a little bigger battery. If they came out with a "Hybrid plus" vehicle, I don't see how a slightly more powerful electric motor would be very difficult and just a couple more battery cells would make a big difference. In my neighborhood, I find it amusing to try to keep it in electric mode. It isn't easy because it is quite anemic and is just barely strong enough to maintain a slow speed. Now, at highway speed, it can go electric as long as there isn't much of a torque requirement.

Actually, thinking about it, when you first start moving on electric, it seems to have a little power but that drops off quickly and then you have to be careful. If you can feel the gas pedal, you are pushing it too hard. LOL

Bottom line: I like it. I DO recommend.

I hope you got something out of this post. I've gotten a lot from the community and wanted to contribute.

2022 Lariat Lux delivered Nov 2022. No problems, 15,600 miles, unless you consider dashboard rattle.
