I seem to recall that my early 22 XL had an electric heating coil that would engage if Max heat were selected and the ambient temp was below a certain temperature. I witnessed the current draw on my scangauge II. I know my 23 XLT does not respond in the same manner.

Since 2022 XL didn’t come with cruise, someone added it. You’ll have to use Forscan to enable the switches and add the option. There are several old threads explaining this process.

Manual slider on an XLT, it was the only option on my build, I use it often.
