This is my scenario. I've been checking them out, but wanted to see one in person before making the leap, but I have YET to see one. Even my local dealership doesn't have any around for viewing.

It's this or a Lightning, and I don't really need a full size truck. Maverick would fit the bill perfectly for those weekend trip to Lowe's. And a lot cheaper than the Lightning.

Had a guy at Walmart in your boat Saturday night. Let him look in the truck so he could get a sense of it, still couldn't decide though. I think for him the tax credits on the Lightning made it a little more palatable.

Lots of curiosity and questions
From people that look at my Maverick, especially from the ones that ask what is it. Yes I’m one of those old guys that remembers older small Ford pickup trucks, I still own one, a 1930 Ford Model A pickup & its 8 years older than me. It also is a great conversation piece when I’m out driving around, of course my Maverick is my every day driver & gets almost twice the miles per gallon of gas then the Model A, 2.0 with AWD. I’ll send out some pictures of both of them to compare the size in the near future for you to see.

Yes, people stop me and ask about my hybrid Maverick XL in Velocity Blue truck all the time.

In a Sam’s parking lot, I parked far away from everyone else. When I came out of the store, a Ford Heavy Duty truck was parked next to mine. A lady was unloading up her flat cart into the bed of her truck. She said “nice baby truck”.

I filled it up with gas the other day. A lady and her daughter were filling up their SUV ahead of me. She pulled up just far enough for me to fill up mine when she was done. They both loved the Velocity Blue color and the truck itself.

In Lowe’s the other day, I came out of the store and two guys were walking around my truck. We had about a 15 minute conversation. They had their own business and have an F150. We talked about it being a hybrid, and how it would save them money on gas and insurance.

I make and deliver raised bed garden planter boxes. Various customers tell me how much they love the truck!

It’s a definite conversation starter!

For me, I love this little truck, its versatility, gas mileage, the way it drives and rides, and the looks!!

I've had no one stop and talk to me about my Mav yet. A couple people at work asked about it. One was like "I bet you miss your Civic now that gas is so high".... No my friend, this truck is a hybrid!

Went out on some errands today with my Dad and every time I came back to my truck people would be standing around it and checking it out haha
Talked to a guy and he asked me what it was because he thought initially it was a new style ranger. Another Gentleman was confused be cause it was a hybrid truck.

Any one else having the same experiences with people and your truck? lol

Everyday someone asks me about my Mav. From parking lots to being stopped at a light. These little trucks draw a lot of attention.

New small truck, Cyber Orange- yes curious people all the time. Had some good conversations. A LOT of people want one but can't find one. Got mine in November and still loving it.

Have had at least a dozen lookers. Most end up asking the price....and always get a surprised look when I tell them. One guy's response was that his "2010 Nissan base model pickup 12 yrs ago costs him more than the 2022 Maverick XLT.

Most of my compliments are that they love the "Velocity Blue".

Yup! Every Sunday when I'm at the car wash and grocery store, I never fail to get stopped. And it's almost always older guys (like in their 60s/70s) who remark "you know...I used to have a truck that size years ago!"

The Cactus Grey seems to draw a lot of attention as well.

Would be one of those old guys if seen one parked.

My first vehicle was a 1977 Toyota Hi-Lux as no sub compact truck was made in the States. Then bought another in 1986, then a 1996 a Dakota Club and 2003 a Dakota Crew and in 2008 said uncle to high fuel prices. Have wanted a truck as need one about a half dozen times a year.

When I heard about the Maverick and it being a hybrid wanted one immediately but waited to order. My very bad. Then in October got serious about it and two dealers had an Eco boast. One sold there only one during the time feeling out the dealerships. The other had 2 and sold the XLT. Drove the XL and had plenty of power and like it and ordered that day. Being an October order maybe a August to December delivery or say about a year. Seems most wait at least 8 months except for eco boost orders as they seemed to have a pretty quick turn around time.

People ask me about it a few times a week. I had a cop follow me for awhile till I pulled into a gas station and he pulled in to ask about it. And for all the people that think because it is a truck that it got bad gas milage they get so see pictures like this. Mine is the Ecoboost AWD
