  1. Are you happy with your Maverick? Would you buy it again?

I wanted a small 4 door truck that grandchildren could fit easy in back seat (when needed) and was easy to fit in garage. Its a 2022 XLT, ordered it with the options I wanted and have added some aftermarket upgrades over the years. It's fun to drive, have had no issues (some recalls) but yes...
  2. Identify These Wheels

That looks like polished chrome? Old school - love it.
  3. Never Again Ford! 2022 Maverick needs a new transmission

I did a transmission flush at 45,000 miles on my 2022 XLT. I did it after reading a lot about it on MTC. My Ford service rep said I did the right thing and right now at 55,000, will be 5 years old in Nov. Yes, it has had all the recalls but no major issues. Old school - change oil, rotate tires...
  4. What Was Your First Maverick Mod—and Was It Actually Worth It?

When I ordered my Maverick, I ordered Ford Maverick floor mats, window and hood deflectors and bed lights - they were all installed by dealer before I picked it up. Then I installed hood struts, that I had already ordered and received, once I got it home.
  5. Does color matter?

    Black absorbs heat, always hotter.
  6. Are people actually paying basically MSRP for 3 year old Mavs?

The Maverick will continue to hold its value as long as there is no compensation in the small truck market. Ford was very smart in knowing there would be a market, they didn't know it would be this strong. And now if what we hear is true, a Ford Ranchero, small truck, all electric for $30,000 -...
  7. First upgrade completed.

Welcome to the Maverick truck world!! And yes, I put the hood struts on first thing. Never liked those small poles to hold hood. Did the same upgrade on my Mustang years ago. Enjoy the ride!!
  8. I'm finally finished. I can't think of anything else to do my truck. Part 2.

Wow, love the list. One of the things very cool about the Maverick - you can choose a lot of options/upgrades. Also one of the benefits to MTC, seeing what all people do to their Maverick.
  9. Who Remembers the 1972 Maverick (int& Mustang & Pinto) Sprint Paint Schemes?

WOW, look at those polished chrome wheels, painted outside mirror and the spoiler. Those were the days!
  10. Before and after with fender flares

I bought the flares, took them to my body shop guy, he painted them and installed them. Charged me $625, well worth it.
  11. Alabama meet up

No, 2.0 Ecoboost. 2022 XLT, ordered it as soon as Ford opened the ordering gate - got it 11/11/21. Everyday driver with 53,000 miles.
  12. Alabama meet up

I live in Auburn, of course Cyber Orange with blue trim. I would drive to Bham for Maverick meeting. Wonder if Ford dealership would provide meeting place?
  13. 2023 2.0 Ecoboost Transmission complete Failure at 83k miles - No Help from Ford 9k to fix

One of the values to reading MTC - learning of upgrades, maintenance, etc. I had a transmission flush done at 45,000 - even my Ford dealer service tech said that was the correct move (actually did the 50,000 mile service suggestions done at same time). Yes, I am old school and have oil...
  14. Sunroof Option

Yes, ordered sunroof on my 2022XLT. Always enjoy the breeze and looking up to God's beautiful sky. Closest thing to T-tops on my 72 Corvette. Wish I had that back.
  15. Anyone using a radar detector in their Maverick?

Enjoy Auburn when you visit, it's a great small city to live in, even for a lot of us retired folks. I drove a Chevy Nova and my handle was Novacaine. Huntsville, AL is known as "Rocket City". Congratulations on the new grandchild - nothing like'em!
  16. Anyone using a radar detector in their Maverick?

OK, I am surprised so many Maverick drivers have radar detectors. Maybe CB radio entertainment is needed? Use to enjoy listening to some crazy stuff. Trying to remember, wasn't a 10-30 code for smokey? And of course the mile marker.
  17. Had to add some contrast.

Add red fender flares and paint the bumpers red - then you will have the contrast on a sporty Maverick.
  18. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

Ordered my 22XLT when Ford opened the order bank July 2021, got it Nov 2022. Been fun to add fender flares, fog lights, LED tail lights, body side molding, colored bedliner, interior trim, paint bumpers. Have 53,200 miles. Been very satisfied.
  19. RIP Lasfit tail lights

I purchase the Panda Motorworks LED sequential tail lights (OK I'm a Mustang owner - always liked the sequential). Love the brightness and the patterns on them. I got the smoked version since my 2022 Maverick is cyber orange.
