Did the update a few days ago, no issues with the process. However, both yesterday and today had to reset the unit when the bluetooth connection hung and the screen froze. Previously simply turning bluetooth off then on would solve any connection problem. Would roll it back if possible.

Cheers.

Dealer had called me about a recall for a separate update, so I had them do the stereo update on the service visit. I had been on 1.8 and unable to ever get the update to work (yes, I had tried ever idea mentioned in these threads). On 2.2 now and things seem better to me with Android Auto starting more quickly.

Had the bluetooth disconnect for the first time since the update. I used to happen just about once a trip. It auto-reconnected immediately and with less drama than previously, so there's that.

Hope it's not a trend. The update has definitely helped overall.

Hey!

For those who couldn't find the update after so many attempts, get in touch with your dealer :) Dropped mine off for that and the recent emission recall, and it is updated to G.2.2.0.1

Attached is the work order, and it may indicate the reason why I couldn't get the update.

I am wanting to do the update for the camera fix but despite car play improvements I
The only difference I've noticed after updating my XLT poverty edition SYNC radio is that Andoid Auto takes a lot longer to connect after I connect my phone using USB. Today I had to unplug the cable and plug it back in to get AA to load.

Before, I'd open the door, start the truck then plug my phone in. AA would load by the time I closed my door, put my setbelt on and put the truck into reverse.

Has this problem persisted ? Does it still take longer to load AA ? How long now ?

I am wanting to do the update for the camera fix but despite car play improvements I am not wanting it to mess up my wireless AA that is actually working great.

Can AA users please share your experiences with the update ?

I haven't had any issues with slow AA deployment since the update. I'm guessing it was a random fluke.

I was hoping this update would fix an issue I’m having with CarPlay, but it didn’t. When I’m connected to CarPlay, I can’t receive an incoming call unless I first make an outgoing call. Anyone else having this problem?
I have the same issue on my 23 XL and am hoping this update fixes it. My truck is struggling to find the update. Did you have any luck?

I got the update applied, but it didn’t correct the issue.

I might have the same issue - I'm able to hit the answer button on an incoming call but I can't hear the caller and they can't hear me. I've not tried making an outgoing call first.

I assumed it was some strangeness associated with my hearing aids which are paired to my iPhone. Unless you or the others who are experiencing the issue also have paired hearing aids or maybe other bluetooth devices paired?

My current solution is when there's an incoming call I pull out the usb cable from the truck and then hit answer on the phone. lol. It's not a great workaround. But the only one I've found.

The whole thing feels half baked. When I am listening to bluetooth audio, connecting the USB to carplay to use maps on the car screen will automatically disconnect bluetooth audio. Not a huge surprise, but it will then turn on the last audio source which is always the radio. And there is no way to shut the radio back off unless you turn the whole thing off which makes listening for directions from maps impossible.

So I end up no using carplay much if at all.

I turned my phone into a WiFi hotspot. On the Mav, went to connection settings, connected to my phone and scanned for software update. Download started, then installation ran. Went from v1.8 to v2.02!

I got a new iPhone 15, brand new usb-c cable from Apple, disconnected all Bluetooth connections to the truck and only use the plug to connect for CarPlay. My truck still gets confused where it will charge the phone but not send any audio or bring up CarPlay. No matter what I do I can’t get consistent connections.

Have you updated the Firmware?

Yes I’ve updated the firmware. The overall issues with the stereo and connectivity are well documented on this forum despite being up to date, or using new cables or having an up to date phone.

facts- the system is sub par and cannot function to the abilities of technology from the 2010’s. ford cut a lot of corners with the maverick but this cut was just ridiculous.

Have you updated the Firmware?
