  1. DFW Mavericks Meet 3/2/24

It was great meeting everyone today. Thank you @JBnorthTX for organizing these!
  2. Recall #24C01 - Instrument Panel Cluster IPC Illumination - 2/26/2024

I swapped out my 23 XLT cluster with a 22 XLT FX4 cluster. Wish me luck when I go in for my next oil change. lol
  3. Swap XLT/XL Guage Cluster for Lariat Digital Cluster

I had the same issue and eventually using "Speeedometer" in the part dropdown was the answer. Try using these search settings.
  4. Swap XLT/XL Guage Cluster for Lariat Digital Cluster

I took NoVaJimmy's advice and bought an FX4 instrument cluster from car-part(dot)com. I also bought the console switch from the same truck so I could enable hill descent control. The donor truck had cross traffic and bliss so when I installed the instrument cluster in my truck I received cross...
  5. Ford Perimeter Plus - Impact Sensor Not Working? - SOLVED

I re-read through the owner's manual and it does mention "pre-arm" time of 10-20 seconds - after which the security system will arm. This was in a section describing the LED behavior. And, since I don't have the LED, my brain just skipped over and didn't read it. lol I'll experiment tomorrow...
  6. Ford Perimeter Plus - Impact Sensor Not Working? - SOLVED

I think I figured it out. I did a google search and found someone having a similar issue on their F150. The answer? After I lock the truck, there's a delay before the impact sensor activates. I couldn't find this in the operating instructions that came with the perimeter plus; but, the F150 post...
  7. Ford Perimeter Plus - Impact Sensor Not Working? - SOLVED

EDIT: There's a delay between locking the truck and the impact sensor activating. A post in a different forum said one minute. I waited five and then the impact sensor did pick up movement. I ordered a Ford Perimeter Plus vehicle security system (KN1Z-19A361-A) and installed it today...
  8. F-150 Fog Lamp Switch and Wire Harness Installed in Maverick - DIY

How was it listed? Asking because I plan to add fog lights and also have the larger screen instrument cluster.
  9. Save current (modified) setup?

Not that I’m aware of. That would definitely make restoring easier.
  10. Save current (modified) setup?

So far, I’ve seen posts complaining the BCM is reset to as-built configuration during the turn signal recall (where they presumably update the BCM software). I plan to use FORScan to back up each module before taking my Mav in for service during the next oil change. That way I can restore...
  11. How was your dealer experience!

Ordered from Five Star Ford Dallas, sales manager Sam Sallam. The process couldn’t have been easier. Sam was easy to work with, great communication, and I paid MSRP.
  12. BCM recall HEADS UP!

Note to self: Back up my BCM configuration before going in for the recall. Thank you!
  13. F-150 Fog Lamp Switch and Wire Harness Installed in Maverick - DIY

Same. I bought a FORScan license the week my truck arrived and started the upgrades. Honestly the truck is a great value; but, the modifications from this forum make it fantastic. :)
  14. Texas For Sale: Bronco Sport Outer Banks 6.5" Instrument Cluster w/Maverick Gauge Face

This is a Bronco Sport Outer Banks 6.5" instrument cluster ( M1PT-10849-ANF) that I purchased so I could swap the gauge face with my Maverick cluster. 12,569.3 miles on the odometer. I believe it to be fully functioning; however, I didn't drive my Maverick with this dash installed. I did hook...
  15. F-150 Fog Lamp Switch and Wire Harness Installed in Maverick - DIY

And here I was thinking that I was done modifying my Mav. *sigh* ;)
  16. ForScan Hill Descent Control mod, wiring required

@NoVaJimmy - Thank you very much for being extremely helpful by answering so many of my questions and thank you for going through all the effort to sell me the Bronco cluster. 😁 I really like the way the dash looks and I think I'm finally done with modifications. That is until someone discovers...
  17. ForScan Hill Descent Control mod, wiring required

Does the truck need to be going downhill for it to engage? Or, will it maintain speed if activated on a flat road?
  18. ForScan Hill Descent Control mod, wiring required

I think I figured it out. I had to enable Hill Descent Control in both the IPC and ABS modules. At least it now notifies me on the IPC when I press the button. I need to find a nice hill to test it as I assume (wrongly?) that it won't engage on a flat area.
  19. ForScan Hill Descent Control mod, wiring required

@NoVaJimmy - I'd like some input from you when you have time. :) I received my molex pins and got going on the project. I could see that Pin 7 on the IPC connector (C220) was already present and running to Pin 10 on connector C302 (the connector that interfaces to the center console). I...
  20. Got rear ended this morning - hitch step saved my Mav

@BoboysTruck - What dashcam are you using? I looked through the thread and didn't see it mentioned. Thank you!
