I did the rear brake job using the method in the video I posted and it worked just fine with no issues. I have very basic home auto mechanic skills and thought it was an easy job. A 5 mm and 8 mm hex socket bits, a 13 mm socket, a swivel socket, and a caliper compression/winding tool, brake...
The only thing I am not sure about is if I remove the actuator motor as shown in the video, do I still need a caliper compression tool that will turn the caliper piston or will it just push in?
Well I am going to give it a go seeing as the dealer wanted $700 to do the rears. Will let you know how it went in a couple of weeks after all of the parts arrive.
Has anyone used the method shown in the You Tube video link below to do the rear brakes when brake maintenance doesn't work? Just wondering if it was successful or if you ran into any problems.
I started my 2022 Maverick with 57K miles and noticed the display and radio were completely dead. I restarted the car and it was still dead. I decided to worry about it later since I had to get somewhere. On the way I was thinking that this sucks because I will need to take to dealers and...
I have never had it off road am really careful not to follow anyone close. I am retired so I am not doing any bumper to bumper driving. So many of the dings seem to be just pin head sized. Any time I hear any sort of minor road debris hit I know I have another ding. I have read that...
I have PPF on the front end factory installed, but the front windshield pillars, top of windshield and any other surface seem to take a beating. I hand wax it 2x yearly. Like I said it just seems bad compared to the many other vehicles I have owned in my 61 years.
After 3 years and 50K miles I want to just say this vehicle has the worst paint of any vehicle I have ever owned (Alto Blue). Literally every time I go to wash it I notice a new paint chip. The only thing that has prevented me from trading it in on a Bronco is that that they probably use...
Trying damn hard is a lot different than experience. I did say he did a great job on the battery install, so yes there still is some hope for the younger peoples. So did you make your post just to be confrontational? Seems like it to me. I see that a lot on this forum.
I kid you not that when the tech rolled in I thought he was 18 years old. But he also did the battery replacement recall and did a good job. I have had other more senior mobile guys out for previous recalls and updates and it alway seems like there is a problem.
The tech did look like he was...
The tech was on the horn with the Ford hotline and they still couldn't get it works. So yea Ford shares the blame as well as having all of these recalls in the first place. But you are correct that it will cost the dealer more as now they have to come pickup my vehicle and bring to shop to...
The Ford mobile service tried to do the backup camera recall for my Maverick today and the tech gave up after unsuccessfully trying to install it 5 times. Get your act together Ford!
