This update was the easiest by far! They seem to be getting better with the updates I did this one in Walmart parking lot on their WiFi and it was done downloading in 20min I shut off the truck and when I came back out and started the truck it said update completed through the speakers.

Just updated....thanks for the post. Keeping my fingers crossed that it helps some FM stations retain audio quality when driving.
LOL! That's a problem from the source. FM Radio has turned into overcompressed, low bit-rate garbage for most of the stations around me. Even with my high end home stereo tuner, nothing really sounds good anymore, except for NPR and one local listener supported station (WRFG). The feeds that most use now are worse than 128k MP3 quality.

I'm also having a hard time finding this update on my Lariat.

I assume this update is only for the lowly XL and XLT models...
Only poverty editions.
Remember that not all Lariats are Lariat Luxury Package equipped. My Lariat got the update.
For those who may not see it, you have to connect to your home (or some public hotspot) wifi first. Then select the automatic update option from the system settings.

I tried that a few times--and nada. 🤷

I have a 22 lariat luxury never updated the system but do have it connected to my home wifi and set to automatic updates. Never seen it update. Only issue I have that I just discovered is when playing xm radio the display in the dash displays the correct artist but the name of the song may or may not change. Not a big deal but a glitch nonetheless.

I haven't yet tried this week's update but for the prior ones I went the USB route....

how do you do it via USB?
If you're on your Ford.com dashboard for your Maverick and you look at the vehicle notifications and Sync updates, you'll see options as to what method you'd like to use for the update. Hope that helps!

Ahhh, gotcha....My bourgeoisie truck must be fancy (minus the 800 recalls, of course). 🤣

Does anybody know what this revision actually does? We can’t find a list of changes anywhere.

I notice it has trouble with 5Ghz WiFi vs 2.4Ghz WiFi. I had to go into my phones hotspot and turn off 5Ghz.
Maybe try that in your router or only connect to 2.4 instead of 5Ghz

my router worked at an instance but the networks was separated (i.e)

Stock-WiFiXXX 2.4Ghz
Stock-WiFiXXX 5Ghz

I only used my hotspot since the WiFi signal was weak and I didn’t want it to brick mid-update.

I saw someone had the same issue on FB and using a hotspot worked which I assume defaulted to 2.4 vs 5

Ford Maverick New stereo firmware update available! IMG_0339

for those having trouble finding the update. It helps to hit the check update button twice or more. It’s weird the first one says it’s up to date then the second one it begins downloading.
