Watching. Demco baseplates and RVi 2 brake system.
Happened to us twice on our current trip. We go for 6 months at a time so this might get interesting.

fixed twice by disconnecting negative cable for 10 minutes. Hope there is a known fix soon.
FWIW. The manual states for long term storage the NEGATIVE CABLE SHOULD BE REMOVED. Does not mention Positive cable! Implication is a capacitor some place may provide localized power for one or more things for a short period???

When you ran your accessories outlet, what did you use for ground(negative)? The jump post is not threaded and I want a clean connect for mine.
Someone posted over a year ago that he unscrewed jump post with difficulty

That's how it worked with me, at random times it just gives the Neutral Tow message.
I can drive it fine but not place it in Neutral Tow again.

I have one of those green knob battery disconnect on my battery. I tip the seat, pop the battery cover, and loosen the knob. When we need the Maverick, I tighten the knob, pop the cover back on, drop the seat and go.

I just had the recalls done to the computer but we are home for the summer and not towing it.
Hello Twinboat! Glad to see you here as well as on IRV2 where I have lurked for several years now. I have been towing 2023 XLT since Feb this year, about 2,500 miles so far. When we got back from Roadmaster in Vancouver, WA (first tow home) I did not follow instructions correctly and was stuck with neutral tow enabled, but was able to put truck in gear and drive into garage. Disconnected battery for about an hour and all was well, back to normal. All My fault. I flew helicopters while in the Army in the 70's for a short time of my career and of course you have checklists and procedures that must be read between pilot and copilot ALL the time. My wife (the COMMAND co-pilot)of over 50 years reminded me of my 'FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE" I have since laminated the page of the entire neutral tow procedures and it is kept right there on the passenger seat. I do have a couple questions regarding the length of time the truck is to be run. No time limit specified exactly. Does say to go cycle through drive reverse and neutral. I am doing about 3 minutes in each gear and no problems yet. Also, the manual says to start the engine. I take this to mean that I take it OUT of neutral tow and start the gas engine. (start it by flooring gas pedal when turning it on). When finished with the gear selection cycling process, I re-enable neutral tow. So far, so good. See you over on IRV2.

I have a 2024 Lariat and have towed over 3000 miles with no problems.
I installed the Roadmaster wiring kit with no relay...

Mine is a 2024 XLT Hybrid.
When this came up before, I do believe it was folks with an XLT and had to do with improper key position for some of the NT process. Lariat is easier, as putting it into ACC or RUN is simpler.

My Maverick is an XL, with key ignition. Hard to screw up " Turn Key to Start ", but that's when it happens.

Just drove over 2000 miles towing my 2024 Maverick. 4 dealers for reset out of tow mode. Now at a dealer to fix this problem not just a reset. They are replacing the instrument cluster which was not comunacating correctly with the other computers.

I suggest you look over the DIY install thread by LindaB on Dec 4 2022. She put on a Readybrake system, but she has a detailed explanation of the brake lite relay install along with a tip on removing part of trim for better access (it is hard to get to!).
Leave yourself enough time for this step as it took me a while to get the wires to where I could work on them.
You can do it!
So I just read on Roadmaster site that you have to leave your motorhome running lights on all the time you are driving for the break relay to work properly?

Yes. I drive with motorhome headlights on for safety at all times.
This will usually power running lights also.

I did not install the break light relay and my 2024 Maverick break lights work just fine with out it .

Do you have a Lariat or XL/XLT?
XL and just had the instrument cluster replace to fix an neutral tow mode trouble. It was stuck in N when trying to get out of tow mode.

I just installed extra sockets and bulbs in my Maverick taillights and did away with the diodes completely.
Time will tell if the Neutral Tow issue comes up again.

No need no need to get rid of diodes, neutral truck tow mode works fine with them. The problem is when you turn the ignition to accessory if you don't wait long enough for the dash display computer to be all the way up and running and then switch into park it'll get unsynchronized and won't go out of neutral tow mode correctly.

I have the Demco Stay in Play system along with the wireless Coach Link wireless brake monitor.
It supposed to tap into the brake light switch but I just stuffed the transmitter in behind the 3rd brake light and connected it to the wires in there. Works great.

If your looking for a brake system, don't buy the Demco. It's not progressive, as advertised, and it's to powerfully for electric power brakes with no adjustments.

I was working with Demco but not getting any where. Now I'm trying a few things on my own.
Have you had any luck on fixing issues with the Stay-In-Play Braking System?
