  1. TPMS sensors on valve stems

TPMS systems that go in motorhomes require sensors on the Maverick's valve stems to monitor tires while towing behind the motorhome.
  2. TPMS sensors on valve stems

Thanks for the info. Didn't realize the Maverick sensor was a part of the valve stem. That's a bummer.
  3. TPMS sensors on valve stems

Anyone using TPMS sensors on your Maverick valve stems so you can monitor the Maverick tires when towing behind a motorhome? If so, any concerns with the stock rubber valve stems on the Maverick?
  4. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

I ran the charge line to the jump post under the hood, seems to work fine, no battery issues while towing. I used a Demco baseplate as it was the cleanest to install at the time. The Blue Ox baseplate was having numerous failures, although I think they've since addressed that? I used diodes...
  5. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

Yes ran a charge line. Everything else about towing the Maverick had been great except for my baseplate issues, but hopefully that is now resolved.
  6. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

Yes, Demco supplied grade 5 bolts, both of which failed (snapped off at bolt head). I replaced them with grade 8 bolts.
  7. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

I agree about a possible design flaw, especially with the bolts that are spec'd, but I wouldn't be too concerned with catastrophic failure as long as you keep an eye on it. Mine gave plenty of warning by getting slightly loose long before it would have likely failed completely. I was likely...
  8. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

Yes told them about it. They said they will inform their technical department and offered to send me replacement bolts.
  9. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

Yes in hindsight this would have saved me some aggravation, but at the time I was doing the first fix in a campground in Cape Breton Nova Scotia and was only trying to do the minimal needed to get us back on the road.
  10. Demco 2024 baseplate failures

Just wanted to warn anyone with a 2024 Demco baseplate to keep an eye on it, as I had two failures. This past summer I noticed a small amount of play in the baseplate. I took it apart and found one of the bolts supplied by Demco had snapped while towing. It was torqued the amount specified in...
  11. Pedestrian Sounder Fault - Service Now Driving me Crazy

I pulled the front off the truck to find that one of the bolts supplied by Demco had snapped. It was the one holding the extension bracket where the PAD was. The PAD had dropped down a little, possibly from when the bolt snapped and the bracket let loose? I replaced the bolt and tilted the PAD...
  12. Demco Flat-Tow Setup Instructions, with comparison to Blue Ox and Roadmaster

FYI for those with a Demco baseplate. I started to find a little play in mine. I took the front of the truck off and found one of the bolts supplied by Demco was snapped off at the head. I torqued it to the specified torque when assembling, so not sure why it snapped. I will be upgrading to...
  13. Pedestrian Sounder Fault - Service Now Driving me Crazy

Used loctite on all bolts and torqued as specd so not sure what happened, will find out soon enough.
  14. Pedestrian Sounder Fault - Service Now Driving me Crazy

In addition to the pedestrian sounder fault, I am now noticing play in my Demco baseplate as well. So I guess I have to pull the front end off the truck and see what's going on. Of course this is all happening when I'm 1000 miles from home and in Nova Scotia. Ugh.
  15. Pedestrian Sounder Fault - Service Now Driving me Crazy

Rmhopper, how did you determine the problem is the wiring/speaker and not the module?
  16. Pedestrian Sounder Fault - Service Now Driving me Crazy

Sorry, I meant to ask rmhopper. I saw your fix and am hoping that is my fix as well, but like rmhopper I previously added a Demco baseplate and had to relocate the speaker so hoping that isn't the problem.
  17. Pedestrian Sounder Fault - Service Now Driving me Crazy

Hi, what ended up being your fix for this issue? I am now getting the same warning at times. Seems to come and go. Thanks!
  18. Neutral tow mode - HELP!

I agree it is fickle. Didn't realize leaving the door open was part of the issue. Have you verified this?
  19. Demco Flat-Tow Setup Instructions, with comparison to Blue Ox and Roadmaster

I used these diodes and they worked great Hopkins 48955 Towed Vehicle Diodes Kit https://a.co/d/6McJbea
