The radio thing bugs me a bit but I think I’ve figured it out.

#StillLoveThisTruck
I thought they released a software update that has fixed the radio bugs. Can someone confirm?

When engine is shut off the audio will remain active until either the door is opened or X amount of time has elapsed. Power on/off audio control is still functional during that interval.
I stand corrected you are 👍 right Sir.

I don't know if this applies to your situation. But on the vents, I thought they were directional with the left/right movement. But moving it right/left seems to open and close off the vent. It is a one-day-at-a-time, getting to know the truck.
LOL. I figured this out today. I had mine kind of angled towards hard driverside and didn't realize if you turn it enough the vents actually close.

Thanks anyways. Spot on.

You don't have to press the switch to release the parking brake. It will auto release if you just put it in gear and press the pedal.
Not on mine. I didn’t even set it when I parked. Must put foot on brake and push switch down.

Too much up or down on the vents slows them down a lot.

Possible there is a system problem.

From https://www.dezosmanuals.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/2022-Ford-Maverick-QRG.pdf :

ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE
The electric parking brake switch replaces the conventional hand brake. The switch is on the center console. To apply the electric parking brake, make sure the transmission is locked into park (P) and then pull the switch up. To release the electric parking brake manually, switch the ignition on, press the brake pedal and then press the (P) switch down. The brake system warning lamp turns off. Your vehicle automatically releases the parking brake when the driver door is closed, the accelerator pedal is pressed and no faults are detected in the parking brake system.

Pressed hard enough that if brake did let go the vehicle would have certainly lurched forward quickly. I wouldn’t press any harder.

After 7 months and 3k miles I know what my dislikes are.
Getting going in the Maverick is too slow.
It's a TRUCK not a Sports Car.

For me pedal-to-the-metal in my Hybrid leaves others in the dust. 0-60 in 7.7 seconds is fast enough for me.

From Car and Driver May Issue:

........................ Mav ---- Civic
weight........... 3720 --- 2906
engine............ 2.5+elect ---- 2.0
HP ................. 191 ---- 158
0-30 mph sec... 2.9 ---- 3.5
0-60 sec ........... 7.7 ---- 8.8
1/4-mile sec ... 15.9 ---- 16.9
top speed....... 110 limtd --- 125 est

Parking brakes switch. Sometimes it is automatically applied. Sometimes I push or pull it the wrong way.
I use it infrequently as I don't park on hills very much but I've had no issues at all with the Parking Brake.

Dial shifter. Like nothing about it except it’s out of the way.
I love the dial shifter. Again this is a TRUCK not a Sports Car.
In all my previous vehicles I put it in Drive and go. Not hard to do at all.

How will the radio fire up this time? Right away? Nothing? Connect and disconnect only to reconnect a minute later. Will the volume work? Stuck on last volume setting.
Why don't you apply the software fix that has been out since March 1st.

Radio firmware update!

AC fan, anytime now.
Why would you want the fan to come on at high speed and blow Very HOT air on you when first turned on?

With the AC on MAX it first turns on the compressor with the fan at low volume until the ducts are cooled down then ramps up the fan to max air flow. This way you are not blasted with very HOT air when first turned on.

By the way my 1978 Buick Electra with it's fancy automatic climate control for AC did this exact same thing: low air flow until all the ducts were cooled then ramps up the fan speed.

Parking brakes switch. Sometimes it is automatically applied. Sometimes I push or pull it the wrong way.
The way I remember it: Pull up on the switch to engage the parking brake just as you pulled up on the emergency brake handle between the seats in most cars that didn't have a pedal-operated parking brake.

Our RAV4 automatically engages the parking brake when you put the car in Park and disengages it when you put the car in Reverse or Drive. This is a feature I didn't think I'd like but it works better than I expected. My Maverick does disengage the parking brake automatically but NOT smoothly so I disengage manually by pushing down the button.
