My XLT EB w/ Lux Package, SIBL, 360, and slide window, ordered 10/26, was pushed from 2/27 to 5/27 yesterday. It has been "in production" since 1/15. The modules are active. It must be sitting waiting for a part. I ordered what I thought was a build that was less likely to be held up. No word from the dealer. Technically they said 3-6 months, so May is "only" one month late.

Unfortunately we're still in a new car crunch. The pandemic saw a huge decrease in fleet and rental cars that were initially sold to benefit the rental fleets and then as the pandemic went on there wasn't the usual supply of used coming to market later in the pandemic. People with economic issues were holding their cars longer than usual so even less used cars. Which greatly increased price for the stock available and rolled over into new car market. Which thanks to the pandemic had decreased output thanks to worker issues, pandemic health issues, and now everyone wants a car and the used car market is ridiculous. But this glut of new cars being produced cannot keep up.

Here's an a example of how crazy it is. Used hybrid lariat with the lux package selling for 37000 not far from me. Has 970mi.

That just seems preposterous to me. But that's the market at the moment. Everyone wants a car and nobody is selling or making them fast enough to override a year of nothing. Plus the rental fleets are desperate to replenish their inventory.

God help you all that are waiting and seeing build dates pushed back. Mine only was bumped back less than s month before it was built. And less than another month to be delivered. Still over four months from order to taking possession of it.

At this point I'm probably not going to see my Maverick until the end of the year if build dates are getting pushed to May and some delivery dates are getting pushed to June. My July order isn't even scheduled yet. Looks like the soonest it will get scheduled is probably by the end of May... Don't even see the point in getting a 2022 if that is the case.

I have an XLT with Co pilot and a 400w inverter, and I'm holding out on the slim hope that they wouldn't push my build forward two weeks just to have it delayed in the next step, but we'll see. I'm not sure when delivery ETAs pop up but my scheduled buld week is 2/14.
Great, then you're just the person I'm looking for. (Even more so if you have a hybrid.)

I'm not saying that they are ignoring the produced but currently chip-delayed trucks. I'm saying I want to watch what happens next to see if that problem crops up. (Mainly because a Lariat hybrid built 2 weeks after mine sailed through fine and arrived at my dealer yesterday - when mine was supposed to arrive.)

So... When something -- good or bad -- happens on yours, please let us know. Thanks...

I have a base ecoboost XL ordered June, went into production Jan 15th, estimated delivery showed 2/27. Now showing 5/22. Don't think it has anything to do with hybrid/eco, highly optioned or not. At this point - 1 year order to delivery, fingers crossed....

Not a chance. August to today is 6 months, and even if each month was at 5000 units (it's not) and Ford didn't deliver a single Maverick (they have) the total produced would be 6 x 5000= 30,000 Mavericks.
They were probably talking 40000 units of just ford. Not one specific model

We know ford has all the orders in now. They know the profit margins and material constraint of every 2022 that is qued up to be built right now. They can sort first by margin, then by constraint and shuffle the build order accordingly. My opinion is that they dont really give a damn when you ordered it right now, probably the lowest priority sort order if even used.

It is now clear that all those dealers who asked people to switch to EB and all the dealers that told customers their Hybrid won't get built/delivered in 2022 have known things for a while. Likely these dealers have contacts at Ford that leaked info to them. People have been posting those stories here for months. So it seems to have turned out that Ford has likely known for quite a long time that there were huge production/delivery issues brewing and strung people along anyway. So glad I believed my dealer and the people who have posted about this stuff for a long time and moved on to the Ridgeline. Not upset with anyone except Ford itself who seems to have purposely created false hopes. If idiots like me heard MANY months ago from my local dealer that it would likely be "forever" before I got my hybrid, then Ford knew all along. So all of you who claimed dealers were lying to get people to switch to EB so they could get "sales" and mark up hybrids...do you still feel that way?
I was told right off the bat that I couldn't get a Hybrid til probably 2024, so yea, got me thinking? Will be happy tho if I ever see my Chili Red Maverick.

I'm not sure the old sales model where you went to the dealer's lot and hopefully found a vehicle you liked wasn't better. At least if they didn't have what you were looking for you weren't riding the on / off / produced / delayed / shipped rollercoaster of this built-to-order model. Or think you are in line only to find your order wasn't placed properly. You found a vehicle or you didn't. Simple and much less stressful.

I don't know if the cost has anything to do with it. I have a Lariat Lux hybrid with moonroof and hard trifold tonneau -- MSRP 32.8k -- and I was the same build week as DryHeat. So I feel that it's just more of the random chaotic inconsistent process that Ford seems to implement.
Random and chaotic is a kind phrase for Ford's cluster....

I got delayed yesterday, too.
Lariat Hybrid; lux; 360
Order confirmed July 7.
In production 1/12/22.
Estimated delivery 2/8/22
CHANGED to 5/9/22.
My patience is very thin.
I actually don't mind the delays as much as I mind the silence from Ford. That is the part that is making me feel like I don't want to wait anymore.

I can only guess that Ford, like most corporations with stockholders, doesn't want to admit a weakness. Even though a chip and parts shortage is not of their making, inability to deliver timely orders is a real problem. How would you feel if you read a headline - "Ford Admits 2022 Maverick Orders will go Unfullfilled." We are all frustrated but don't hold your breath waiting for such an admission from Ford.

Similar situation here: Lariat Hybrid/Lux/360/Moonroof that went "In Production" on 12/22. My estimated delivery went from 02/20 to 04/23...It's been "Produced", but I never received a "Built" email.

Have they even produced 40,000?
My VIN+ has a 42k number. So...they've "scheduled" at least that many...I'm flipping done with Ford, now.

I have no idea if my truck is delayed because TRACKER has worked exactly once for me in the past 9 days. I'm using the link at "Trackers" above, where we add our order # and VIN #. Is there a better link?

XLT Hybrid; lux
Order confirmed June 14th
In production 12/15/22.
Estimated delivery 2/13/22 (yeah, sure)
Feeling discouraged.

I agree that Ford is communicating very poorly.
Ford needs a Communications manager!
I vote for Tim Bartz.
He's the only one we see trying now, and he's earned our trust.

Update: Ford Customer Service Rep today told me delivery is now expected 5/8.
Then, I was finally able to see the Tracker again and guess what...it says 5/14.

Has anyone else noticed that ALL of these delays are just an automatic 90 days later than the former estimated day of delivery? It's not exact at all. It's a blanket delay.
