Sales are down significantly month over month for Maverick, Maverick Hybrid sales are not broken out, and the third sheet showing production for February, 2022 has been left off this report.

For the Maverick, I suspect that it is because a lot of trucks are waiting for electronic modules that could not be installed due to missing semiconductor components, and therefore, not counted as completed production units that could be shipped.

Once the missing components arrive and are installed, I expect a wave of trucks to hit the rails and roads on their way to dealerships.

I'm going to need more patience for my June 17, 2021-ordered Maverick XL Hybrid, yet to be scheduled.

In the meantime, I have just driven my son's new 2022 Ford Escape PHEV, delivered to him last week after a 9-month wait, including the rollover from 2021. I really like how it drove - very smooth and quiet. The "PLUG-IN" name is tiny, and just above "HYBRID" in the label on the right side of the rear hatch/tailgate. Plus it has the electric plug "filler" door on the drivers side front fender, in addition to the usual gas filler/door on the driver's side rear quarter panel. In the short time he has had it, he's seeing well over 50 MPG and sometimes over 60 MPG. All good.

While it will take more time, I'm really looking forward to getting my Maverick.
