I use 87. Ethanol added.😡
I tried premium, (91), for a couple tanks when I first got the truck and saw no difference in mpg, or perceived horsepower.
We have some stations that sell ethanol-free regular & premium. In various vehicles, I've never seen enough improvement in power or MPG to justify the higher cost of either one.

Congrats on the great Hybrid mileage you're getting. What drive mode do you usually use?

Summer blend gas has more energy in it than winter blend and should give better mileage. On my BMW I get worse gas mileage in the summer by 1-2 mpg because of the A/C. Doesn’t the AC run off the hybrid battery pack on our Mav’s.

I know, right? Sort of like hybrid owners commenting on Tremor threads! ;)
agreed.

“what do you mean your use case is different than mine and you don’t require 50mpg?!” - too many users here

I keep it on normal mode, always. Never even used the other modes except to see what they did.

Please note, I live in an area with lots of country roads that allow speeds of 45-65. Not too many hills, but do drive a fair amount in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, so it’s not entirely flat.

My mpg are going to be much higher than someone living in SF, Seattle, or a high density stop and go area like Houston or something. I live in a cooler environment than some of the hot states. That makes a big difference in mpg as well.

I also don’t drive like a maniac or speed from stoplight to stoplight.
I‘m not a slug left lane hog either, I get up to speed smartly and stay there.

I am simply reporting my mpg to other HYBRID owners.

Seems a lot of jealous busybodies like to stick their noses into our mpg discussions though.😁

It is not advisable to use pumps that have both ethanol and nonethanol gas in the same pump. The fuel still in the hose from the person that pumped gas before you is what you'll get for the first 1/2 to 3/4 gal.

If you don't want to have your mowers gum up, don't use it unless it comes from a pump that is dedicated to what you want. That way you know you are getting what you paid for instead of getting what the previous customer paid for.

Most of the pumps in my area have dedicated hoses (on the same pump) for ethanol and non-ethanol fuels.

All they sell is ethanol-free, both regular and premium.

You are right and I never thought of this. Where I can get non ethanol I have no choice, same pump. Fortunately no problems so far!

I likely wouldn't notice, even if I had a hybrid. A/C is almost a year-round thing.

A/C took chunk out of my overall trip 2 mpg report.
I was getting 52 mpg until last months weather started turning warm.

From 52 mpg down to this!

I can live with it.

Hmmm. My hybrid mileage has gone UP with the warm weather.

MPG goes up with temperature.... until you turn the air conditioning on.
Air conditioning takes about 1500 watts which is 2 horsepower. Cruising at like 55 MPH you only need 20 horsepower on flat ground so 10% of your fuel used at this speed is for air conditioning.

Driving at elevations INCREASES MPG because the air is thinner.

Driving in hot weather (without Ac) INCREASES MPG because the air is thinner. And in Hybrids, the batteries output more, until you get above 130-140°F.
