as long as it has a bench seat and a long box it meets the needs of 90% of trips.Regardless of price.
A Single cab is a useless non-starter for me.
Single cabs don't sell in significant numbers in the United States.
Back in the 60s when bench seats ruled. Bench seats are fine if everybody is the same size.as long as it has a bench seat and a long box it meets the needs of 90% of trips.
sad that the slate truck has buckets and a mediocre payload/tow
Ok, that's fair. I'll answer your question by starting with the acknowledgement that the market has chosen and 4 doors has won this debate - pretty much no way around that. And it's likely that your examples are typical of the way most Americans use their vehicles. I get it, I just don't have your use cases.Clyde, since you asked.
# 1 reason is Convenience.
). Since the mid 90s when everything went aerodynamic with the more slanted windshield, I've had an incredibly difficult time being able to comfortably see out because my line of sight is often in the top third of fourth of the windshield. This alone is what has moved me back to a truck over a car. As I said, I don't have the use cases that include passengers beyond my wife, any four legged family members, or the need to carry very much stuff. So that's my "why" for a truck or trucklet.I wonder if it's even possible to build a unibody truck with a 6 ft bed.I like the 2 door idea(bet the commercial guys would love one)especially with a 6 foot bed-4 door backseat is just a trash can
Search "volkswagen rabbit truck".I wonder if it's even possible to build a unibody truck with a 6 ft bed.
Ford Ranchero did it in;I wonder if it's even possible to build a unibody truck with a 6 ft bed.
That's a Big Block Chevy engine with Corvette on the Valve Covers not an LT or LS Small Block Chevy!! IIRC the last time a BBC was offered in the Corvette was probably in the 70's!!I couldn't agree more even I am not a big fan of single cabs nor a Chevy guy. But it looks really really good. And a supercharged Corvette engine. Wow.
I didn't know the 1970-1971 Ranchero bed was that long.Ford Ranchero did it in;
1960-65, 6 foot bed
1966-67, 6 foot bed
1968-69, 6.5 foot bed
1970-71, 7 foot bed.
Those years were unibody construction.
