I would love to see auto makers step up the mini truck market. I think it would step up the popularity and desire to own some of these.

Regardless of price.
A Single cab is a useless non-starter for me.😐
Single cabs don't sell in significant numbers in the United States. Chances of a major manufacturer bringing them back in the United States is almost nil.
Extended cab is just about as useless to me.
Been there done that.

That Chevy has too many fingers on its hand, if you get my drift.

I assure you no mainstream manufacturer is going to make a single-cab mini truck with a blown V8 in it with no emissions whatsoever... but yes, it is nice to dream. 😀

The Slate is gonna suck. 🤮

Jay Leno's Garage did a whole program on it.

Will be very bare bones, all plastic, looks like a snap together Lego kit, and bare bones will cost the same as a nicely equipped stock Maverick.

A fully upgraded Slate will cost more than the Maverick and still look like a lego kit.

It will compete with the Maverick about as well as the Santa Cruz.

🤮🤢🤮

But it's a EV with 150 mi. range. 🤣 Who in the hell is going to run that thing down to to empty?? Don't forget folks say, you don't want to charge it to full it takes too long. Unless you live in a house where you can attach a charger and charge every night you're going to be looking to find a charging station every 80-125 miles.
What a joke.🤣

l'm waiting for the minions to chime in, 'Oh you can get a bigger battery.' Then the price goes up.

The Chevy Truck is pretty Bad Ass with the Supercharged BBC in it!!
I couldn't agree more even I am not a big fan of single cabs nor a Chevy guy. But it looks really really good. And a supercharged Corvette engine. Wow.

I think they underestimate the two door cab demand. In a two car family one car as a SUV a two door truck will suffice well. The original mini pickups sold well in the days of the family wagons and four door sedans
