Agreed, I owned a Chevy Volt with 42 miles electric range and unlimited gas range as long as you took 7-10 minutes to fill the tank.Oh Tesla are much better than what this Slate will be, Assuming its not DOA. which is my guess. . BUT Tesla's cost a lot more too. Sure many can live with a EV single car family as long as its not ridiculous low range like the base Slate actually is. As I said the Slate is NOT 150 miles. Not even close. I didn't even get into loss of range in the winter.
If I had an EV I would start to panic If I went below 60 miles range left. Its not like you can call for a gallon of gas or walk and get one yourself.
Oh and to others who said you have to own an EV to really understand them. Bull on that .
That tank can be filled almost anywhere Including from a 2gal. gas can.
