That looks like a SIBL and the rubber mat from Ford? Does the devider scrape the rubber mat? Is that why its hard to move? Does the bottom of the devider touch the mat? Thanks. That looks great.
Yes it's both. There is no rubbing between the rubber mat and the divider. Getting in the bed and pushing from the middle of the divider it moves easily. It is a pain doing it solo if you don't want to get in the bed, you have to do one side a little then go to the other side and move it.

I did the same this week. I have a lot going on in my bed and am happy with how this compartmentalizes it all. With the hard Tri fold installed there is still room to throw my clubs behind the divider without moving the swing cases. I think that cable might be for the ranger. It seems this might be a universal part for both trucks?

What hard tri-fold cover do you have? and is it compatible with cargo management rails from ford

This is the ford branded trifold. I believe it is the same as the bac-flip brand as well.

the cargo rails are how the divider snaps in. It uses the two cleats that come with the rail. I purchased a second set so that I would still have a pair to use. It does not interfere with the trifold cover at all.

Big fan of this idea!!
Thanks! It was a lot more of a project than I was prepared for. The first half butted variation worked but didn’t keep anything cold. I ended up using aerosol flex seal as a base to keep it water tight than a layer of spray foam insulation(drywall stuff) for an insulator material. A quick spray paint to make it black again and good to go. Now able to keep things cold all day in summer heat for trips and tailgating. Has been my favorite accessory on the truck.

Gave in and got it! It was a little tough to get in and move back and forth. Hopefully it will slide better with more use.

Thanks for supplying the picture. I have the SIBL and the same rubber mat. I ordered the bed divider using my points, but I was unsure if it would fit (after I ordered) with the bed mat down. I am glad I found your pic. Thanks for sharing!

What is the purpose of the lanyard. It looks specific and where does it attach to? The lanyard is also on the rail kit. I do not get their purpose.

Mine is in my junk storage. No real use for me. The instuctions just show you how to loop it.

they are in case the rails come off it won't fly out of the truck while you're going down the road. Mine are under the seat, not worrying about it with the tonneau cover on the truck

I decided to splurge and abandon the old 2 x 4 style of bed divider that I had used for years in my old S-10. So I used some points and cash and got the Ford version.

Notes: At first, I thought my bed was sprung, as the divider absolutely would NOT lock into place. The Ford worldwide instruction sheet is the usual Ford "quality."

In the pictures, you can see the 4 torx bolts, 2 on each side. After going from side to side trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I decided to loosen all 4 bolts and jiggled it a bit and it went into place and the locks were able to be used. There is a picture in the instructions (not included...you have to go print them yourself) that shows there is something inside the track that will allow the adjustment.

I am not sure what Ford was thinking when it included the cable. Nothing in the instructions really talked about it. I can see it useful for keeping a gas can or something similar in place. Anyway, here are pictures as someone requested.

The Ford Logo is on both sides of the divider (not just a flimsy single piece). Shipping weight was 21 lbs. Now that the width is adjusted properly, it is easy to both slide it forward and backward in the track and to remove it.

Edit: The black wire you see in some pictures is run from the LED bed light. I tapped into it and will be installing some LED strip(s) somewhere in the front part of the bed so it will come on automatically whenever the LED light is on (by switch or by the automatic stuff.). Not sure yet what I will do, but I wanted to get the wire in place while I had the rails and bedliner apart.

Sure, but if you have the rails, it is just a matter of setting it onto them.
