Who is intimidated by forscan??? lol You need more that just a $20 forscan license. You need a laptop to run it and an OBD adaper. If you plan on using forscan for a lot of stuff it would be worth it to have, but kinda dumb to buy everything for one issue that is easily solved without it.
Sure if you have or have a friend that has forscan. If not you will have to pay someone to do it. Why pay someone when you can get a $20 part that takes 30 seconds to do one time?
It probably hasn't been engaging in months because you have been using your heat. Having heat on or AC running will prevent it from coming on. If you have a hitch on your maverick you can put a hitch break light in. Having that connected to your trailer wiring will prevent the auto start/stop...
Battery won't be covered. That being said if you put up a big enough fight about it they will probably replace it just to keep you happy. If your service writer won't do anything, demand to speak with the service manager. If that doesn't work, you can try to contact Ford directly, start writing...
One time was enough for me to learn my lesson to never do it again. I worked at Auto Zone for a couple years and we would never not warranty a battery, even if it tested good.
I bought a battery from Walmart one time. I will never do it again. It went bad after a month. Took it to have them swap it out. They tested it and said it was good... it wasn't. I took it to Autozone, Oreillys, and a trusted mechanic. They all tested it and said it was bad. Took the printouts...
Kinda want to keep this one stock. When they did my Tremor they cut off my old exhaust in a way that made it so I couldn't swap the original back on easily. I ended up getting less when I traded it in because of the aftermarket exhaust. I would do it in a heartbeat if I knew I would be able to...
They probably told the customer they stopped taking orders because of allocation. Why waist someone's time if they won't be able to actually get it? What they should have done is found one to dealer trade. One of my Mavericks came from Roscommon Ford because we didn't have one and I didn't want...
If you are looking for a good place to do undercoating I would suggest Premier Auto Restyling. I work at Bill Brown Ford in Livonia, it's who we use and they do a GREAT job! They did my spray in bed liner because the one I got didn't have it from the factory. They are right on Plymouth rd just...
That's because Atchinson Ford is a bigger dealer. Ford lets them order more so the smaller dealer wouldn't be able to order one when a bigger dealer could.
