I like them bright...I've never had headlights this bright
Sure I get flashed at a couple times but I just ignore if they only do it once. Twice and they get the I can see in your car flash.
I have never been flashed, but I love how bright the headlights are.
I added DRL/Turn signal light strips to my grill bar too (still no protest flashing)
Just the way it is.
I do not get flashed constantly. I do get flashed once in a while.
I agree the Maverick's headlights are bright.
I hate seeing oncoming traffic with lights this bright.
I am not proud to say I am now part of that problem.
But man, it has helped my night vision a lot. (i do my best to avoid night driving).
I am spotting deer a lot sooner than prior to having the Maverick.
I do wonder about the aim of my headlights on the Maverick. I've only been flashed seriously once last winter by someone in an older car. They did it over and over on a long stretch of road, till I bumped the high beams one to show them they were wrong.
The cut off seems higher than I would have expected, but part of it may just be the height of the headlights above the road? If I'm stopped at a t-junction for a two lane road the bright part of the beam pattern will be rather high on the amber sign with the <--- ---> on it. I'll have to look in the manual to see if they can be adjusted or if the dealer has to do it.
I have tools and lumber pieces in my bed at all times. Not sure if that would be a contributing factor. Guess a 1/2" front lift because of weight in bed and whatever distance out could be significant. Not like the Carolina squat though.
There was a study done a couple of years ago about the brightness of new headlights. It concluded they are brighter, with more glare. Partly because of the different designs of LED headlights not being as consistent as the relative similar designs of incandescent bulbs of older cars. They called for more design consistency.
But I love the lights really there isn't a need for more forward lighting. I will eventually put some on the outside of my topper in all directions. More for reasons when I'm not driving.
