Correction: you were flashed solely because someone else thought the lights were too bright from the factory, and they were wrong.

There are rants sprinkled around the forum where people think the Maverick headlights are useless because they are too dim. Everybody has a different level of tolerance, and I don’t concern myself with the extreme outliers.
Carlitos, where have you been in the last year? Haven’t you seen all of the trucks SUVs and cars with the super bright lights that are not the highbeams. come on now. Again, I don’t think the Maverick is the worst offender , but obviously the Mavericks are getting flashed. Just read the comments in several of these threads from others beside myself. There are no way that the Maverick headlights are too dim. 🥴🥴

Putting 10,000 miles on my truck since I took ownership 9 months ago, throughout three different states, but mostly in North Texas.

Haven’t you seen all of the trucks SUVs and cars with the super bright lights that are not the highbeams.
Not relevant to the Maverick.

obviously the Mavericks are getting flashed.
So did my '93 Civic. And my '97 F-150. And my '00 Jetta. And my '09 Fit. And my '14 RDX. Not my problem, and not due to LEDs. Obviously.

Totally agree! :)

I have found that yellow lense glasses at night , especially for longer trips help alot...... I have the ones that fit over my existing glasses.... they are fairly reasonable in price and may help...safe driving...

The average brightness of car headlights on US roads has doubled since 2015. “As headlights get brighter, it’s actually becoming harder to see.” I hate the brighter headlights, both on on-coming traffic and on my car (can’t dim them).

I have to disagree with you. I’ve been driving a 2011 Chevy Cruz and the lights are less than great. On the new maverick with the auto dim highbeams I find it much easier to see the road at night.

Headlamp aiming is not on the preinspection delivery checkoff sheet, always thought it should be. There is a requirement for running the vin with Ford to check for any holds or updates to modules that might be needed.

At least our customers would bring in the trucks for a headlamp adjustment if they were getting flashed by other drivers. We did not charge them for this service. Can't speak for other dealerships however.

Only had my Mav Lariat a couple of months. I like the headlights (2 low on each side, one high). However, it seems as though headlights coming at me seem brighter in the Mav than they were in my 2020 Escape Titanium. Is their any way to find out if the tint on the Mav's windshield is less than that was on the Escape?

Cool, another article about some amateur's personal vendetta against a technology they don't understand.
At least this article talks to a few experts and leaders in ADB.

Peak intensity (the "brightness" graph) is not the issue. Glare and correct aiming are, but the current standards are generally outdated and poorly enforced (if at all). The NHTSA needs to get their shit together.

There are some awesome things coming or already here for headlights. One is highly pixelated lights, where they can be super bright, but individual elements are dimmed where the computer detects another vehicle. This is already in use in the EU. Last I read, which was some time ago, the US traffic safety authorities still did not allow them?

Mind you, that's probably a thousand dollar headlight.
Adaptive Beam headlights. They're in use overseas. Pretty wild stuff. The beams will reshape themselves. So for example if a car is coming towards you, it will lower and reshape the beam to not hit the driver, but it will still illuminate the other side of the road with a high beam shape.

US laws are pretty antiquated, so the lights have yet to be approved for use here.

So far never been flashed by anyone for the headlights being to bright. I liked the way my headlights were aimed more down and out on the road way instead of up through another vehicles window.
