Just dropped my truck off with my installer, he is going to pull them out this evening hopefully and install the front springs and go for a ride. After talking to him about the Eibach's having dead coils he said that it makes total sense that we have this lil pop noise then. Mine does sound like it is something under pressure so it very well could be the springs themselves. I am almost certain it isn't the end links like we originally thought, but in the off chance it is he will install the adjustable ones I from Scale. Finger's crossed guys, I hope we get it figured out.
Hope everything works out! Please take some photos of the springs themselves and bump stops. I haven't seen any photos online to compare the two. Someone also mentioned they kept blowing out the bump stops so I am looking for alternatives to see if they would work out.

I will try to get my installer to do that. I don't imagine my bump stops look like anything other than stock ones cut 20mm. I have only bottomed out once since having the Eibach's installed. And I have put over 1000 miles on mine since it got done the first time.

That makes sense, but why on earth come to market with an unfinished, untested product? I have never even heard of good-win racing before, I will look them up. I have Eibach's on mine and my Daughter's S550s with zero issues. Have had them on numerous Mustangs in the past with no issues. I just can't for the life of me figure this out and it is driving me crazy. Oh well, my H&Rs will be installed tomorrow evening or Monday evening and we will see what happens.
Brian from Goodwin Racing is a solid guy. They are big in the Miata racing scene and very well respected. I have used their springs and other parts in my former MX-5 and was very happy. I am using their rear sway bar in the Maverick now.

The Goodwin springs were not out when I ordered my Eibachs. The GWR springs also have a slight rake I would prefer to not have. The thing that pisses me off the most is that I paid a shop over $700 to install these turds on my Maverick.

Yeah I have emailed him and can't wait to hear back from him. He seems imbedded in the hobby for sure! I honestly wish I would have known about them back when I had my first Maverick. My spring choice would have been different for sure.

Fortunately I have an installer who is taking care of me, but he is a very good friend and I have brought him A LOT of business not only with my family but also other enthusiasts. I just hate I have now bought 2 sets of springs, new end links that I probably didn't need and new strut bearings I am sure I won't need. Oh well, it's only money and I want my truck noise free. I was going to do coilovers, but just didn't want to deal with the harsh ride.

A little off topic but thought it might be relevant. Are you guys re-using the nuts and bolts for the suspension or did you get new hardware when you installed the springs? I recently came across the maverick service manual and it’s saying to discard the nuts and bolts when disassembling the suspension. I reused all the hardware, just wondering what others are doing.

I reused all the nuts and bolts when I put my Eibach lowering springs on. I haven't had any issues at all.

I "think" we might be getting closer to an answer...I don't have time to type it all out as I have to head off to work but my installer got the driver's side done last night. Here are some pics for comparison...He is gonna do the passenger side tonight and go for a test drive. I will say he said he has never seen a drop spring with the coils compacted in the middle of the spring like the Eibach's, they are usually on the top or bottom as these H&R's are.

Coil bind? That seems odd. It would make sense though that it would be making noise. I wonder if you could split some rubber hose and slip it over the coils to try and stop the noise?

At least you AWD guys have the option of using the H&R springs. Us Hybrid peeps are stuck with the Eibachs (for now) :(

The springs come with protective rubber in that spot. You can see it in his pics where the white grease is.

Thanks for the photos! Those H&Rs look nice and well built, like they belong there. The Eibachs look a bit off, like they are smooshed in there. Were the Eibachs rubbing on anything? Eibachs look a little wider up top.

If you can, please take photos of their bump stops and the stock ones (cut, uncut, whichever). Hope those new Eibach bump stops work out well for you.

The Eibach's do have a plastic sleeve on them, you can tell from my pic because I tried the grease trick someone else told me about but it didn't work. From what I have seen, no matter which vehicle you have, FWD or AWD the eibach front springs are the same exact part number. So my guess would be the H&R front springs would work. I know that would mean buying two kits but that is all I can come up with.

The HRs look way beefier in person than the eibachs, and not sure if it matters but they felt way heavier too. They weren't rubbing anywhere as my installer said there were no wear marks anywhere. He even sent me pics of the rear eibach springs and they are compressed at the top of the spring, not in the middle like the front ones.

Well well well, got the text from my installer and NO MORE NOISE! Of course no more eibach springs either, but changing out the springs fixed the issue. We didn't need the Scale adjustable end links, but I bought them just in case. Along with new strut bearings but there was no wear on my stock ones. He didn't have time to swap the rear springs tonight but he will do that tomorrow night and I will pick it up then.

Still not sure why and what causes the Eibach's to makes these noises on some trucks and not the others, but I am sending mine back for them to run some tests on them. They did get back in touch with me today and were very helpful. So I am sending them my springs back. They are indeed wanting to get to the bottom of the problem. They even asked me if I knew of anyone in Southern Cali who is having this issue because they want to hear what is going on and try to get to the bottom of it. If you are in Southern Cali DM me and I will forward you the contact info for someone at eibach, he is most polite and willing to help! I do think it has something to do with the coils being compressed in the middle and not at the top like the HRs. But I am not qualified to make that call.

Awesome, I’m glad that fixed it for you! Not sure what my problem is because I still have a light knock/pop with my h&r’s

I am not sure what it could be on yours. Are you having the issue only when turning and sharp hits like us eibach guys are/were?
