He needs to get back on the forum and address all these issues people before all this word of mouth gets around!!
That's just it, I don't think they care at this point. They have a huge following and even better reputation, the fact that one vehicle has an issue isn't going to make a difference to them. They told my installer they would "make it right with the customer". I called the same day and that's the day they told me I could send them back to them to be tested. I assume on a press of some kind to test the spring rate. But that it would be all on me at that point, they weren't covering any costs. So a few heated words were exchanged and I hung up the phone.

Im another one that isnt happy with Eibachs springs. Ive gone thru 2 sets of bump stops because they keep splitting due to bottoming out the strut. I thought it was bad struts, but they arent bad. I am trying to wait for Bilstein to make a strut but i may go back to the stock springs in the meantime. I believe the spring rates are wrong as well.
That's strange, I haven't bottomed out but once and it was over a bridge that is dipped really bad on the entrance and exit so I kind of expected it there. Did you cut the bump stops when you installed the springs?

Yes they have been cut. I drive 52 miles round trip for work and it bottoms out multiple times a day. My lightning and Mustang dont even bottom out on these same roads and they are lowered more.

When researching about springs I had considered ordering from Good-win Racing, they have their own coil springs. I believe they were one of the first to install the Eibach springs and stated that the Eibach's had a lot of dead coils, which is why they made their own. Perhaps this is where the clunking is coming from? I ended up going with the H&R because the Good-win springs have more of a rake and I wanted a levelled stance. Maximum Motorsports also uses H&R, and that's what I have for my Foxbody.

That makes sense, but why on earth come to market with an unfinished, untested product? I have never even heard of good-win racing before, I will look them up. I have Eibach's on mine and my Daughter's S550s with zero issues. Have had them on numerous Mustangs in the past with no issues. I just can't for the life of me figure this out and it is driving me crazy. Oh well, my H&Rs will be installed tomorrow evening or Monday evening and we will see what happens.

Man, to bottom out every day would drive me nuts! I honestly think the spring rate is all wrong on the springs. On a smooth road they ride great but add even the slightest of bumps and the ride turns to crap in a hurry. I won't sugar coat it like most have. I don't have a problem with the ride mind you, but it isn't better than stock like some people claim.

I think the ride on most of the roads i drive on is great, its the other few roads that are terrible. I have 4 vehicles with Eibach stuff on them. Reading what Goodwin had to say about the springs is disappointing.

A little off topic but thought it might be relevant. Are you guys re-using the nuts and bolts for the suspension or did you get new hardware when you installed the springs? I recently came across the maverick service manual and it’s saying to discard the nuts and bolts when disassembling the suspension. I reused all the hardware, just wondering what others are doing.

I reused my hardware. I assume most people do if not everybody. I just looked up Good-Win racing, and I wished I would known about them from the jump. I am ok with the rake honestly, it isn't that much. If it don't work out with the H&R's I will definitely give them a whirl. I like the fact that their spring rate is a touch higher than stock, so that should definitely cut down on bottoming out.

Are you having the noise issue with you H&R springs? Did you install using the factory hardware or buy all new nuts and bolts?

I haven’t installed mine yet, work has been to busy. I think I might check the prices on new hardware, but in the past I usually just reuse.

Yeah just the front strut hardware is over $125. I have lowered MANY vehicles in the past and not once replaced any hardware except the springs themselves. I think the service manual calls for it so when you have warranty work Ford can charge for it. But that's just me.

I typically reuse everything as well, just struck me as odd that it says to replace hardware. My Jeep suspension has been apart and back together many times and never replaced any hardware. That’s what my buddy said, just a money grab from ford haha.

Just dropped my truck off with my installer, he is going to pull them out this evening hopefully and install the front springs and go for a ride. After talking to him about the Eibach's having dead coils he said that it makes total sense that we have this lil pop noise then. Mine does sound like it is something under pressure so it very well could be the springs themselves. I am almost certain it isn't the end links like we originally thought, but in the off chance it is he will install the adjustable ones I from Scale. Finger's crossed guys, I hope we get it figured out.
