I went with the Lariat, Lux Pack, FX4, and Tow Package on my 22 Mav. This was the best decision after owning it for 2 years now. The price was very reasonable back then too. I love the lane assist!
I bought the a Maverick with the same options for the exact same reasons! No regrets here

Looking to buy first Maverick. Worried about cabin noise compared to F150. Want sunroof, decent sound quality, towing ability. Any thoughts on best package. Buying used.
I have been researching the mavericks for more than a year, since I wanted to step down from from my 2024 150 platinum. I opted for the Lariat and made sure I had the 4k two and black appearance package and moon roof. I'm happy I went with all of the bells and whistles and enjoy the truck everyday. If you want to save some money, then get the lower trims, but I'm very happy and so glad that went with the Lariat

I just love the Lariat and all the toys and would have nothing less. The sound system for me is great and will never understand those that mess with it. For that matter I don't understand where all these gripes come from as many of them just sound foolish.
Might want to sit in someone’s Mav that has an upgraded sound system. It does depend on what kind of music you listen too as well

Damned newbies!

🤪

My idea of "building" a computer doesn't include buying boards.

I still have the parts from my first computer in the late 70s, involving wire wrap tools and sockets, toggle switches, and LED displays . . .

(yet I'm a few years younger Etthanna you!)

and I ordered a Lariat maverick for my wife because I could afford it, and she wanted it!
I started with a Commodore VIC 20. Those were the days!

Yes for me. I actually prefer the XLT cloth, but …

1) lane centering and 360+ the assists are handy in traffic. I can grab a bite of breakfast or throw an ID over my head on the drive to work.
2) improved radio is nice
3) in 2025 it is all crammed together in a desirable package.

If it’s a work truck or beater, go basic

if you’re going to be daily it for 10 years, treat yourself

That sums it up for me. It's a second or third vehicle and l only put 8 or 9k miles a year. I clicked every single option box, even front clear protection since l drove cross country the minute l got it from the dealer ( not one road chip btw).
Glad l did. I'll have it ten years likely. Wanted it all. If l was hauling rocks, lol, l'd buy it stripped and cheap.

Really, the Lariat seems to be basically what the XLT would offer in a Ranger or F-150.
Agree....

Disappointed the Maverick Lariat doesn't offer power options for the passenger seat... and a split fold rear seat... I like the Lariat, and ordered the Lariat, but there isn't much to differentiate it for the money... For MY2025, there seems to be even less differentiation.

However, for MY2024, glad it's Sync3 frees me of the camera woes..and the B&O is at least tolerable (the XL/XLT sound was noticeably lacking)... I like the rear sliding window and intelligent cruise control.... these four features only available in the Lariat...

However, everything else I could have gotten in an XLT w/ 360 and Luxury Pack... (ok XLT would have been cloth, but that's okay) so again... real lack of differentiation.

Yes it's worth it. Sort of.

I went from a 2019 Honda Fit ($19K new) with ACC, LKA, keyless entry, pushbutton start and touchscreen display connected to my phone. Didn't care about any of the Honda infotainment features because I used Waze and listened either to audiobooks or podcasts on Spotify, so really didn't even need the radio, just the sound system. It was a daily driver for a 30 mile commute and averaged 40+ mpg.

The Lariat was the only package in 2024 that offered the comparable must have of ACC/LKA because I spent over an hour a day on the freeway. Ford's ACC is much better than Honda's but I miss having the blind spot camera on the passenger mirror as Ford only has annoying indicator lights that alert me even when I don't want to switch lanes. I'm finding as an official Old Fart that I really like the amenities of heated seats and steering wheel. My daughter praised the heated steering wheel when she borrowed the truck a couple weeks ago. It's come in handy this winter.

I take my French Brittany with me everywhere, even when it's not hunting season, so the first thing I bought was a hammock for the back seat and door protectors. He likes to ride with the window down, so the sliding rear window comes in handy to equalize the airflow. I opted not to get the sunroof (which I had on my Honda) as I found it a pointless luxury that wasn't worth the $995, plus I like the extra headroom not having the sunroof provides.

For me, the Lariat was worth the extra cost. But you need to weigh what you expect out of your truck. If it was a beater, like my 2003 Ranger was, the XL package is fine. For a daily driver where I spend most of my time, Lariat all the way.

Yes. Twice. I ordered my first Maverick Lariat in June 2022. I ordered my second in August 2024 and traded in the first with only 16,600 miles on it. They're worth it for the safety, attractive interior, and entertainment.

Get the Lariat if you care enough to ask the question.
I had to have a Sunroof on mine and it’s amazing to have all the windows open. When you close everything up the Lariat front windshield does keep it quieter on the freeway.

Otherwise Fork those Forkers screaming Freedom for Insurrectionists 🎸and Grifters while Veterans are Fired and Leon gets Billions and now $400 Million Contracts for Armored Teslas! wtf even 🤔

I bought a lariat. There wasn’t even a discussion in my head about the other models. But I’m not living paycheck to paycheck with 4 kids to feed. The other vehicle options I was looking at was getting a Rivian R1T or a Cybertruck, which are more than twice the price. The deciding factor was that I wanted a small truck. So I got the Maverick. Did it make sense for me to get the bare bones econobox version so that I could save $10k? Nope. I would have been kicking myself for the next 5 years if I “cheaped out” and had to suffer though years of sweat stained, cloth seats that make my car smell like a musty locker room, while fighting the old school, dumb cruise control while listing to the crap stock stereo. No thanks. I’ll take the creature comforts.
