Thank you. It was a very install, didn’t cost much, and I didn’t have to tear apart my truck. So I thought I would share with my fellow Maverick owners.
I have found a very easy upgrade to add a garage door opener to the Maverick. It’s actually a garage door remote designed for the Polaris Slingshot. Here is a link to sling mods of you are interested.

I was there the whole time they completed the recall. There was no work order to speak of although I did sign a form that showed the work was completed per Ford guidelines. I also saw a printout of the state of the battery and the charging system after installation. Those documents were uploaded...
UPDATE: Had Ford mobile tech come today and they took one look at the EFB and told me I would be getting a new AGM battery for FREE. The tech began working and had a new AGM battery installed under an hour. The whole process was easy, convenient, and best of all FREE.
I got a notification that a solution has been found. Dealership will inspect the battery and if, IF, it has a number that is associated with a bad batch, dealership will replace it. I have an appointment next week and will post an update. Hope this helps
Love the look of the bull bar. Can’t wait to see further details of this product. I would really consider buying one after seeing the install process and more pics of finished look, maybe even a video. Heck, if I had to make a decision now I would lean towards buying it today!
I remember seeing that thread. I disagree with them all. I have a two inch lift installed with over sized tires so truck is same height as stock. I installed them to protect the truck from hidden stumps while out in the woods. I camp a lot and some times stumps and logs are hidden. While the...
I flashed 5 times, like warning to other drivers. I have attached the process directly from the owners manual for clarification.
I should have been more clear on the steps.
Ah, I gotcha. I would love to get an AGM battery and have looked around but they are a bit pricey. Also if there is a constant draw and the charging system cant keep up the problem will still be there just take longer to show. And your thought and the EFB aid a good one. I hadn’t even considered...
In the mean time I charged my battery with a trickle charger, bypassing the BCM (directly on the posts; I know this is NOT recommended) and then reset the BCM following the procedures in the manual. Ignition on with engine off, flash high beams 5 times and then press brake pedal 3 times within...
I have just received the same notification as you did. I was literally going to start a thread and saw this one. My notice is word for word what you have posted. I was very dissatisfied that there is no remedy yet BUT anticipated for Q2 2025. Here’s to anticipation.
Every time I see your Tonka in pics on this forum I think “Damn, that is a sweet truck!” You did an outstanding job customizing it. Great photo and keep em coming, please.
