Looking to buy first Maverick. Worried about cabin noise compared to F150. Want sunroof, decent sound quality, towing ability. Any thoughts on best package. Buying used.

In my opinion, a resounding yes, if I had it to do all over again I'd still get a Lariat. The hybrid was best for my needs but they've got a max trailer capacity of 2000# while you can get the EB w/ 4000# capacity so that would depend on your needs. I'll admit I've gotten used to the bells n whistles my Escape Titanium has and wanted as close as possible in my Mav, therefore, I limited my search to the well-appointed Lariat.

Look into a 25 Hybrid as they now equal the playing field and can be optioned with AWD and the 4k tow package. As to if the lariat is worth it that is up to you. For me it is not and that’s why I went with an XLT when I had a 22 and again with my 25. For many people even the base xl trim is good. For 25 all trims now come with the same infotainment system.

I chose the Lariat based on the many small options that came with it - the big one, Satellite radio and the nicer interior were big features that I wanted. The upgraded sound system was worthwhile to me, though it could still use a substantial subwoofer and a little cleaner front "stage" but those can be addressed in the future.

Really, the Lariat seems to be basically what the XLT would offer in a Ranger or F-150.

I owned a 2022 XLT Lux for two years and put 44k miles on it. It was a great truck and did exactly what I needed. I traded it in for a 25 Lariat last month and within the first week of driving the Lariat I knew it was the right decision.

The cabin is much quieter, the pushbutton start is amazing, the overall feel of the truck is nicer. The Lariat seats are much better than the XLT. My friends and I agree they feel more supportive. I really like the pushbutton start. I know the 25 XLT has that so there's that. If I were to buy another Maverick it would most definitely be a Lariat or a Tremor which pretty much is a Lariat.

I went with the Lariat, Lux Pack, FX4, and Tow Package on my 22 Mav. This was the best decision after owning it for 2 years now. The price was very reasonable back then too. I love the lane assist!

Reasons I bought the Lariat:

It was the only color I liked,
Hot pepper Red.

It seemed the XLT’s with the added options I’d want were not that much less. And I’m not waiting months for a vehicle.

I’d always admired the Lariat trim on the F-150’s for decades.
The toys and extra touches of the Lariat really grew on me after the first thousand miles.

I’m a go for it kind of person.
Yes I’d jump out if a perfectly good working airplane.

It was Hot Pepper Red !

Oh sorry, I already said that:’P

Honestly I was mainly looking at the 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid since I wanted to flat tow it behind my RV and happened upon this Lariat that was a special order that the customer decided they didn’t want - I was notified it was available the day after it was delivered to the dealership made the drive looked it over and made the purchase - love the Lariat package but really loved I had no anticipation that comes with ordering it and the long wait time

Positively in my opinion but everyone has their preferences/opinions. It does have the Sound Stream windshield that reduces wind noise that the lower trims don't have if your concerned about cabin noise.

i never hear of lariat owners wishing that they had gotten a "lower" trim level instead.
:raises hand:

If I were doing it again I would get an XL hybrid with a few options and call it a day. I think it represents a far better value than the Lariat I bought.

I guess that all depends on if you're just looking for basic transportation, or smiles per mile. I knew within days of taking delivery of my '23 XLT that I under-ordered, and re-ordered a '24 Lariat the day the order window opened.

After having vehicles with keyless entry and push to start, it was miserable to have to take the key fob out of my pocket to start my truck.
