What makes it worth it?

And...do you like the softex seats?

For me, seat comfort is the number one concern, then mpg, then payload.

When justifying the price of options or upgrades the number of kids you have will make a big difference. If you've only got 1 kid and spend an extra $3,000, when your estate is settled after you are dead, he or she will be out the whole $3,000. But if you've got 6 kids, shoot that's only $500 per kid when they settle your estate, the kids won't even notice that. Go ahead and spend it.

Let's just say I have bought my share of entry level vehicles & it sure was nice to start at the top & get all the "stuff"!
Couldn’t agree more. With the average new car price at $45k I feel like $38k for a fully loaded truck getting nearly 30mpg isn’t bad at all.

Mixed feelings for me. Yes, it's nice to have bells and whistles, but the Lariat version does lack additional refinement that you might find on the F-150 like sound deadening. The cabin isn't particularly refined in terms of materials. The door handles are rough. The turn signal stalk is rough...and on and on.

Yes, but get what you want/need/like. To each his own. It is the only way to get the Active-X seats, which are very nice and much easier to keep clean with kids and pets. I couldn't get the XLT due to the orange accents reminding me of Clemson or TN or Syracuse. The XL was just too stripped of options.......cruise, etc. Each person's story is different.

I love mine, and for all the extra luxury stuff it was worth every penny to me!!! Still a great truck for the cost.

So much so I’ve bought two of them. One for me and one for the wife.

Are the seats somewhat resistant to stains and tears? I don't have any tears from my past cloth seat cars but stains yes :/

Don’t have mine yet, but there’s one thing that drove my Lariat Lux purchase: the adaptive cruise. Everything else was on the XLT Lux, but that made it happen.

I absolutely love my Lariat. I paid less than $33,000 fully loaded (except no moon roof--did not want it) thru Granger Ford. The seats are very comfortable. Love the spray in bed liner. Love the push button start. Love the ACC. Did I say that I love my Lariat Maverick truck?

I wanted adaptive cruise as well but couldn’t justify all the extra cost just to get that. Too bad it isn’t an option on the XLT. I would’ve optioned it.
