BOF's site has one change from last week's Fleet Distribution News Bulletin. September 29th is the first day of scheduling. There's no different dates for FHEV and gas vehicles for MY23.

Doesn't matter. The Fleet Bulletin is what showed EVERY model and their subsequent "last date spec change", "balance out" dates, "order banks open" dates, "order scheduling begins" date and "Job 1" dates. There were lines for specific fleet production as well as general vehicle ordering (stock & retail). It's what I used for many many years when I sold Fords. Always had the dates memorized. This is as accurate as it gets. 9/15 Is what the dealer principal at my old job told me when they cancelled the prior date. We should be good to go unless something else happens. That schedule says "Fleet" in the left corner
Why would they need to set appointments? We have ours all set up online. Dealer has specifications, copies of our DLs, and a deposit. Should be good to go as soon as ordering opens, right? They should probably notify dealers then. I've talked with two and both are setting up appointments on the 15th. The one even claims their appointments are filled on the 15th and I'd need to set up one for a subsequent day (though that could just be a sales tactic).
Maybe “locked up”Ford and locked down should never be used in the same sentence -)
Are they going to prioritize MY22 orders over MY23? TIAThe word from the Brand Manager on Friday says that they are still progressing towards a mid September order bank opening. Oh, ordering is being done through the dealer not in the form of a reservation like last year. Been getting more rumors about that and wanted it verified that I was correct.
"reaffirmed as the 15th"?? It's never been affirmed to begin with!So what. Do you have inside info that shows Fleet orders have to be on different days from retail orders.
Tim @fordvideoguy has also stated that the 15th is the most probably date that he has heard.
Next tuesday on his live stream i'm sure the date we be reaffirmed as the 15th.
You have a 23 order set up online? Your order matches the new unpublished order guide? Why would they need to set appointments? We have ours all set up online. Dealer has specifications, copies of our DLs, and a deposit. Should be good to go as soon as ordering opens, right?
YesAre they going to prioritize MY22 orders over MY23? TIA
Sadly one can only like your post once.It would not surprise me if Ford continues to kick the can down the road on MY23. It is obvious they are struggling with many things and have a level of bureaucratic incompetence that tends to befall most major companies at their level. In actuality though it will not make much difference as MY23 will not start to be built for some time anyway.
The more I think about it, if one does not order their Maverick within the first few days of order banks finally opening, the chances of getting a '23 will be slim to none. Just my gut feeling.
Sadly some people actually believe that skilled managment is easy to replace. The manager types really need an in depth working knowledge of what ever part/s go into their product area.Salaried Management level associates are easier to replace than skilled workers and assemblers, you also do not have to deal with unions.
