Just came in from a 20mi. Run on the upper Barren River here in KY.

Yes all types of tonneau covers will work with the rail system. Soft, soft roll up and hard flip fold.

It was $1,100 total for both. They will negotiate.

I would love to see how the tonneau looks all rolled up, and I'd love to see how the kayaks fit in on top! I'm a tad worried the center mass of the kayaks won't be on the rails so praying it works just fine.
I posted pics in the tread today. Loaded easy and fit fine. (It’s my longest boat at 15.5 ft.)

This is a pretty slick setup. I kayak and surf and sup so been trying to decide what to do and this is the first solution I've seen that works with the Tonneau cover.

I really am holding out for a canopy so I can mount racks on that and have the protection for my camping gear, wetsuits, etc. This might do the trick though until a good canopy is available. (I'm not buying the ugly Ford one ). :)

I got a quote sent to me yesterday for $1,255 with delivery to T.X. I wonder how they were able to shave off $150 for yours. Trying to save every penny for other accessories.

Jeff told me that both of those products were going up. He had already received notice and that was a week or so ago. Plus I did get a little break for my veterans status.

The Angry Elephant is what looks higher. Good luck.

Looks great, thinking of a similar setup for my canoes. Any idea what the gas mileage hit is for just driving around with an empty rack? How about any additional aerodynamic noise while driving?

No notice of noise and I haven’t put enough miles on it to know if empty racks makes any difference in mileage.

Do you plan on removing it when not lugging boats around or is this more of a permanent fixture?

I plan on moving the racks to my Maverick when and if It ever gets built. This one will become my wife’s at that time. But I will likely leave them installed on the new truck.

I really like the look it creates when combined with tonneau cover.

No drilling. They clamp on the inside of the bed. It doesn’t interfere with bed tie down rails and if you are installing a tonneau cover it clamps that rail as well.
Do you mind posting a picture of how it clamps? Thanks.

I have noticed quite a bit of whistling when the rack is extended above the cab. I would guess this is coming mostly from disturbance from the T-track which is on the top and bottom of the rails. Some inserts may help with that. The crossbars are tapered on the top front and back sides for some aerodynamics, but they are pretty beefy parts.
I’ve been running the rack in it’s lowest position and have noticed only minimal noise. I do think it has taken an MPG off my gas mileage though.

There are three of these on each side. They clamp the track(s) to the rim of the bed.
