Rides and handles nice. ✅
Plenty of get up and go. ✅
Better gas mileage than others. ✅
Lots of storage/room (maybe my favorite thing). ✅
Opens up a lot of conversations with curious nice people so far. ✅
My kids faces when they ride to the pool, park, lake, etc. ✅
Lots of nice tech/features with the Lux package. ✅
Only thing I’d change is my stereo in the XLT.

Be extra careful not to hit the start/stop button while Mav is moving. When engine is shut off it automatically puts transmission into park. I accidentally did while trying to retrieve a pair of sunglasses. Fortunately I was moving maybe 2mph in a wide open parking lot. Sounded like someone had stuck several playing cards in the spokes of a moving bicycle. Thank goodness, it doesn’t seemed to have done any damage. No more hanging sunglasses over top of info center while getting out to fillup. I seem to have read someone else accidentally did something similar. Be nice if Ford would put a little safety cover over that button.

We've had a couple complaint threads so let's hear some unexpected positive things that surprised you about your Mav. Not your general likes, but something that exceeded what you expected.

For me:

Excellent AC
Interior roominess despite small size
Quiet and smooth ride (this was probably my #1 surprise, saw many complaints on this one but my XLT hybrid is very smooth and quiet at highway speeds)
In all ways, I love it. Having had several F-150, Rangers, new and old model, the Maverick is the best by far!

I am really impressed with the fuel economy. Up here in Canada after putting on 1600km in a week and a half I am getting 4.8 L / 100 km , which translates to about 49 mpg for my American friends. This is the biggest wow factor so far. I also am impressed with how solid the truck is.....no rattles at all. When closing doors, or the hood or the tailgate....it just seems solid and well built. I am loving my cyber orange hybrid ( okay, I'll call it yellow!)
Don't call it yellow. it's orange. Park beside a yellow vehicle and you'll definitely know it's orange.

The AC is great. The seats are comfortable for short and long trips. The gas mileage is better than advertised. I also like the bed arrangement capabilities.

The Maverick experience has brought my wife and I closer. Sold her car when I received notice of production and a vin number so we've been operating with one car for weeks now. Sharing rides, shopping and spending more time together can be a positive thing. The downside is the long wait and uncertainty of when the Maverick actually arrives at the dealership. July 18-31 is what the tracker says? Praying that the final sales transaction goes well but who knows what will happen with the increased bottom line price on the window sticker. Was told that the original price was locked in but that was back in September. At least my wife and I will present a united front when we sit down with the sales guy.
Get ready to wait some more for your maverick to arrive after your wife starts to drive it! 🤗

I’m going to need that excellent A/C…both in Honolulu and when we move to New Mexico…

Lariat 2023 Hybrid I dont think one plus that was mentioned is the excellent handling Specifically I live in a high rise (one of Fords Maverick targeted groups (city dwellers)) and the parking spots for the building are VERY tight and my Maverick just slides right in as if it knows the space

Yeah, our average got as low as 34 mpg that's to this last terrible winter in SLC that wouldn't end. But it's already over 40 mpg now that it's warmed up. Wouldn't be surprised if it's averaging at least 42-43 going into next fall. My personal best was 92.8 mpg for one 5 mile trip.
My best is when hvb has enough to drive 0.3 miles to my mail box and return without ice starting = 999.9mpg.

I tested the AC at 120 degrees at 90mph last week.

2023 Hybrid XL with hitch receiver:

- Value - Got mine for original MSRP (even though I waited 484 days, it was worth it).

- Utility - As a suburbanite, it fits my needs perfectly. The occasional trip to the transfer station with my utility trailer along with the occasional piece of furniture or household appliance makes this truck perfect for my needs. (I have four adult children, and when they need something moved, they call me now.)

- MPG - Even though about half of my driving keeps me on the highway, I'm averaging about 40 mpg. Unless I make a long trip, I fill up about once a month.

- My "Unicorn" - As I said before, it took 484 days to get it, but this truck is mine, and it's the first new vehicle I wanted in a very long time (I always let the wife have the new vehicle since we've been married. Cuts down on strife and I don't worry about her having car troubles she has a warranty and road-side assistance).

You guys better stop praising this vehicle or the engineers will demand a huge raise from Jim Farley and the prices will go up again.
I don't have any complaints and I was surprised the mpg exceeds even the 2022 estimates. I only have about 1100 miles and the two times I filled the tank I got 43+mpg.
Now if I can just pry the $2750 Customer Private Offer loose I was expecting, I would be ecstatic.
The sales team didn't do something right and screwed the 2022 to 2023 roll over up. Might have to haul them to court I guess. I have all the documentation printed out and ready to go and their deadline is approaching. Calling Ford customer service, getting a case number etc. has been fruitless so far too.
