Considering my 13 Silverado got 15mpg and cost alot to drive 1500-2000miles a month.....I would say keeping money in my wallet.:)
I am not as picky as most as I use to mod all my trucks when I was younger. Just not worth it anymore. So I did just a few but I am ok with Sound system and comfort. It's quiet for me(don't hear good much anymore)loud music and guns.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee goes Mybrid
I was going to do the same and mod the XLT to have the front radar and active cruise control. But I was working on a buddy's Jeep for about a week and a half since it hit 100K miles and he wanted to change every single fluid and completely redo the cooling system. That kind of took the fun out of anything mechanic-wise for a while lol. But I got a decent pay raise and so did my wife so we decided to splurge and get the Lariat lux + acc

COLD A/C
Cab room and storage space
Remote start works great
Love the key pad
Have you used the door keypad while leaving your key inside? I go mountain biking often and I don't like taking my keys with me but I haven't had a choice since I still don't have the

Ecoboost gas mileage is awesome! 32.5 mpg on a recent trip.

I was concerned about the complaints I read on here about the sound system, but on my Lariat it sounds great.

Seats are extremely comfortable. Again, I was concerned based on complaints here but we did two 12 hour drives and the seats are just awesomely comfortable.

The ride is excellent! Very sporty feel for a truck, and it is a real pleasure to drive.

I *LOVE* the driving assist features. As someone who generally prefers manual everything this greatly surprised me. It practically drives itself on the highway and I don't feel nearly as tired at the end of a long trip.
That's really good to hear about the acc since we do road trips often.

We've had a couple complaint threads so let's hear some unexpected positive things that surprised you about your Mav. Not your general likes, but something that exceeded what you expected.

For me:

Excellent AC
Interior roominess despite small size
Quiet and smooth ride (this was probably my #1 surprise, saw many complaints on this one but my XLT hybrid is very smooth and quiet at highway speeds)
I don't have the truck yet but I knew I needed to order one when I saw the MPG, price, and SIZEE. I thought my dreams were answered when I saw it wasn't another gigantic truck

-Really surprised by how strong the A/C blows cold.
-Much smoother ride than my Tesla M3. I know, apples and oranges...but still very nice.
-I went out of my usual comfort zone picking Cactus Grey. Was genuinely surprised by how much I liked it (hard to tell from pictures) when I got the truck...thankfully :)

The Maverick experience has brought my wife and I closer. Sold her car when I received notice of production and a vin number so we've been operating with one car for weeks now. Sharing rides, shopping and spending more time together can be a positive thing. The downside is the long wait and uncertainty of when the Maverick actually arrives at the dealership. July 18-31 is what the tracker says? Praying that the final sales transaction goes well but who knows what will happen with the increased bottom line price on the window sticker. Was told that the original price was locked in but that was back in September. At least my wife and I will present a united front when we sit down with the sales guy.

It even works well when hauling a trailer. So far I have over 1700 miles hauling various trailers ranging from 1600 lbs to 3800 lbs with mostly highway driving and it has been great!

EDIT: To clarify, I'm talking about ACC and Co-Pilot Assist together. The extra driving assist of having the truck follow the road almost by itself is amazing.

There's numerous things that exceeded my expectations, most already mentioned, but number 1 for me is the FUN FACTOR with the Turbo  . AWD functions very well also so far in my experiences.

2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, LUX, BAP, CoPilot 360 & Assist, tonneau cover rollup hard, SIBL with cleat system, Power Moonroof, Ford Splash Guards, Remote start system.

Overall quality is excellent

Solid ride with little road noise, handles well better than my Edge Sport

Amazing MPG 48 City 39 Hwy on recent road trip can go higher with just city driving

Adaptive cruise control with lane centering makes highway driving much less stressful/tiring

Value for price paid, luckily a positive dealer experience

I have the 22 hybrid HPR...everything about this truck has exceeded my expectations, I didn't predict that it would be so fun to drive...put on twice as many miles in a year as I usually do...just cuz!

I am very happy that I have had none of the problems some people seem to complain about. Decent economy and performance, very handy for moving stuff. Goes through dry sand with a bed full of corn, no worries 😉

I personally like that it is invisible on the road. The upside of the bland, conventional styling is that nobody notices it and it blends in with all the midsize trucks - which I like. Also I like that it is a cheap and disposable automotive appliance, and that I don't have to worry about scratching it inside or out. And that it seems to be holding resale value so far - which matters to me because I have zero intentions of owning it one day past warranty expiration. And lastly that I seem to have won the Maverick recall lottery - getting a magic build date last September that missed all of the recalls (fingers crossed).
