This thread is hilarious. I had no idea I had so much company on this subject. NO, she will not drive my truck, not even one foot! My wife is from Manila and never even rode a bicycle before coming to America. I taught her to drive my 85 Honda CRX HF, with a 5 speed.
It was a struggle to say the...
According to the owner's manual for the XLT version, the USB ports are for data trans only. There is no fuse for charging , only the 20 amp fuse for the Audio Unit. It tried to connect the GPS for data when I plugged it in, and got a message no charging available.
I wanted to better hide the wires from my GPS and Dash cam. So I removed the necessary panels, top tray, "entertainment" head unit and finished the job. While I had the glove box out, I decided I may as well change the cabin air filter. That turned out to be a good idea and mice had chewed holes...
Putting it in L should not affect the brakes. Come to a stop after descending some hills. Get out and feel the wheels to see if one is hotter than the rest. Maybe one brake is dragging and pulling you to one side or the other, the direction it goes is the side with the problem.
That is some real safety there. Glad you're okay and thanks for sharing. On the plus side you might not have to wait as long as I did for a new one (my first and only) 594 days..
I didn't have a video camera back then, but I still have the carving. I could set it up again, but this year the Chickadees did not show up at my feeders after summer ended.
I decided to carve a Chickadee out of a piece of pine. I painted it up as close to real and set it on a bird feeder. It got attacked by other Chickadees. I guess it looked real enough to fool them.
It's just an educated guess after 42 years as an aircraft mechanic/inspector. It hasn't done it lately, but like some others, I always take the key with me now. On a different issue, I have lost control of the radio twice. Could not do anything and the volume was too loud. Taking the key out...
That was just for the engine work which included a kit to upgrade the ball bearings to roller bearings. Much better idea. Removal and reinstallation along with the rest of the annual inspection added another $2 grand or so. This was back in the $50 an hour era.
I was an aircraft mechanic and we did oil changes every 50 hours. When you were dealing with a freshly overhauled engine it was not unusual to find a small amount of metal particles as the parts were still getting to know each other. If the owner asked you how the filters looked, you would...
No, the tires weren't that old, probably less than 9,000 miles. She must have hit something and caused a flat. She shredded the tire driving back home two miles on the flat. The tire was fine when she left for work. The other three of the set continued on for a couple more years.
Well, she made it home okay. 15 minutes after she left.
"Why did you come back from work?"
"The car (A Subaru Forester) is making a funny noise."
I looked at it,...."Did it steer funny too?"
"Uh huh."
But, at least the rim was okay.
