In grille light bar install

Something I've been planning for a while and haven't had the time or chance till now. Going camping soon so I thought now is the perfect time. Wanted a clean, flush look. Like if it would be a dealer option. Haven't wired it up yet. That'll be tomorrow. I'm going to put a temporary switch and go with something like switch pros later down the road.

I can't remember for sure. I hope to never have to find out again though. I removed the grill bar to plastidip spray it. When the time comes to peel it off, it should be pretty easy without having to remove the grill bar again. *fingers crossed*

If you want sequential turn signals in yellow (match OEM signal lights) and straight white when you run the headlights you can use these. They worked well, a bit expensive but went in easily and work exactly like they are supposed to. I used a discount code FLASH20, give it a try. Shipped a few days after ordering. The lightning light bar is a custom look. It looks like the F150 Lightning's little brother. I get comments as they do a quick light show on startup. Refined Truck supplied the lights.
Used Cloth wire tape just like OEM wrap. The connectors shown below work well. Wrapped everything up neatly and it looks OEM. Doing both at same time minimized some connections. All availablefrom Amazon

I used to have a shop customizing cars I'd rather bake the headlights open and install them into the eyebrows, making the switchback sequential while leaving the oem incandescent bulbs so you don't get any errors in the canbus system. You'd also need to install a relay cutoff to the oem DRL with a resistor to trick the canbus system on each headlight. Similar to the Audi's rear oem sequential.

You can also run a relay and get signal from the fuse box and use a fuse tap to a ignition controlled fuse and power it though the battery that way it'll always be on when the vehicle is running and off when the vehicle is off regardless of the headlight switch position. (Like oem) spdt relay are available at any car audio/alarm shop

Here it is in the day. They are bright as hell at night. I'll post a night pic when I get a chance. Works been crazy with 3 jobs.

I gotta find a way to hook them up to the high beams. The wires going to the headlights are digital signals so I need schematics or something to figure where I can tap signal from as I want them to work with the auto high beams. If anyone knows anything please chime in.

I'm looking for a way to add lights to mine so they pass PA inspection (off with highs on) and found some dude on Ebay who made a harness for me to try out based on what I think will work.
Essentially it's a pass through harness with jumpers for the high/low signals. Can't tell you if it actually works yet or not, literally just had it made and received. Too cold now to mess around with.
However, it looks like he's going to be making more based on my idea. May want to check into it or at least reach out to see if he has a solution that would work for you.

In most states there is a limit to the amount of white lights that can face forward while on roadways. Many of these are limited to four.

Illinois also allows a pair of "cowl lights" works out well for the jeep guys. Probably a 100 year old law.
