I had a '22 XLT eco boost that died on the highway and nearly killed us with a total poser loss (no lights no engine, completely dead at 70 mph), and that truck continued to have a myriad of problems that included:

Total power loss on the highway
Seat belt warning when buckled (experienced before recall)
Tailgate wasn't level with bed
Frozen backup camera (experienced before recall)
Radio that wouldn't shut off
Constantly going into deep sleep mode
Replaced battery (experienced before recall)
Horn would randomly beep twice when you shut off the truck
Transmission drastically changed how it drove around 8k miles and it would hold a higher gear when driving around town

I loved the concept of the truck, but hated that specific one.

So fast forward 3 years, I trade it in for a 25 Lariat Hybrid, and guess what is sitting in my driveway and won't start?

Earlier today I drove it, came home for about 15 min and when I went to start it back up, it just displays the "Stop safely now" message on the dash and will not start up. I let it sit for a few hours and I am still unable to start the vehicle. It will be headed to the dealership tomorrow on a flat bed for diagnosis. This one has also had the seatbelt warning issue and the horn will occasionally beep twice when you shut off the truck.

Is having a $42k vehicle be reliable too much to ask?????
Every production line has a few lemons. The rest of us with Mavericks thank you oh so much for you personally picking out the lemons for yourself so that the rest of us can enjoy ours.

terrible - yeah neither of these should happen on a new truck. Had mine for 3 years and honestly no probs at all.

I bought my 2025 XL Hybrid hoping that the ongoing "battery" problems had been corrected.
Because of advancing age and medical concerns, the first accessory I bought was a 300 amp Jump Pack. I'm hoping to minimize to chances of getting left on the side of the road some day! So far, so good @3K miles.
Hopefully the OP's lariat will be a quick fix!

So here’s the update. Yesterday at 10:30 am, I get a notification in the app that there is a fault in the engine and no communication from the dealership.

Then at 11:30 am I get a call from Ford (not the dealership but Ford Motor Company) that they have talked to the dealership and that there is no ETA on the parts for my Maverick and that they have assigned me a customer service advocate.

At 2 PM I get a voicemail from the dealership that they are still waiting on parts and there is no ETA.

At 3 PM my vehicle shows a currently being driven in the app.

Get a call this morning at 10 am. Truck is fixed and ready for pickup.

😒

this is not giving me the warm and fuzzies.

Yeah, sounds kind of odd. Maybe they mixed up you with another customer and it wasn’t that big a deal?

More like playing Russian Roulette. Except the revolver has more than 6 chambers & one bullet. More like 200,000 chambers & 200 bullets.

You’re driving one & pulling that trigger every ride.
