I had a '22 XLT eco boost that died on the highway and nearly killed us with a total poser loss (no lights no engine, completely dead at 70 mph), and that truck continued to have a myriad of problems that included:

Total power loss on the highway
Seat belt warning when buckled (experienced before recall)
Tailgate wasn't level with bed
Frozen backup camera (experienced before recall)
Radio that wouldn't shut off
Constantly going into deep sleep mode
Replaced battery (experienced before recall)
Horn would randomly beep twice when you shut off the truck
Transmission drastically changed how it drove around 8k miles and it would hold a higher gear when driving around town

I loved the concept of the truck, but hated that specific one.

So fast forward 3 years, I trade it in for a 25 Lariat Hybrid, and guess what is sitting in my driveway and won't start?

Earlier today I drove it, came home for about 15 min and when I went to start it back up, it just displays the "Stop safely now" message on the dash and will not start up. I let it sit for a few hours and I am still unable to start the vehicle. It will be headed to the dealership tomorrow on a flat bed for diagnosis. This one has also had the seatbelt warning issue and the horn will occasionally beep twice when you shut off the truck.

Is having a $42k vehicle be reliable too much to ask?????

Third time is the charm???? I hope it does not come to that; if it does, I have the feeling the answer on your part would be NO!!!🤨 Hope it is a "one and done" with your problems!!!
Double horn beep is explained in another thread if you do a search.

Good Luck!!

MY2025, Lariat, Hybrid, AWD, 4kTow, BAP... easy to reach that amount...
Seriously? Dang, they have gotten more expensive.
I’m not trying to poke anyone about what they paid. I just know that when I bought my ’24 Lariat Ecoboost FX4, 4K tow and BAP it was quite a bit less than that. I guess Ford is trying to find the top of the price range that we are willing to pay for them.

The OP is in a frustrating spot with failures on both of the trucks he has had and I’m sorry to hear about that. I hope things turn around for him.

My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB was $31,510 so IMO the Lariat AWD Hybrid with the 4K package is not worth over $10,000 more than My Maverick.Which I love so far with almost 3,600 miles on it.

Sounds like a buyback to me Chris. If you need advice on that let me know. You'll get your full $42K back, then go get a third one like I did. So far, 3rd time is a charm.

Wait. You paid $42K for it?
Yikes.
25 Lariat, hybrid, AWD, 4k tow, sunroof, blackout package. Sticker was 42, I paid just over 39 with the employee pricing a few months back. That same build now is over $44k msrp. Similar tech/luxury package in an f150/1500/tundra would easily top $70k
