Sounds like a buyback to me Chris. If you need advice on that let me know. You'll get your full $42K back, then go get a third one like I did. So far, 3rd time is a charm.
We’ll see what they come up with at the dealership. For me, the lemon law clock started ticking yesterday at 10:50 am

I had a '22 XLT eco boost that died on the highway and nearly killed us with a total poser loss (no lights no engine, completely dead at 70 mph), and that truck continued to have a myriad of problems that included:

Total power loss on the highway
Seat belt warning when buckled (experienced before recall)
Tailgate wasn't level with bed
Frozen backup camera (experienced before recall)
Radio that wouldn't shut off
Constantly going into deep sleep mode
Replaced battery (experienced before recall)
Horn would randomly beep twice when you shut off the truck
Transmission drastically changed how it drove around 8k miles and it would hold a higher gear when driving around town

I loved the concept of the truck, but hated that specific one.

So fast forward 3 years, I trade it in for a 25 Lariat Hybrid, and guess what is sitting in my driveway and won't start?

Earlier today I drove it, came home for about 15 min and when I went to start it back up, it just displays the "Stop safely now" message on the dash and will not start up. I let it sit for a few hours and I am still unable to start the vehicle. It will be headed to the dealership tomorrow on a flat bed for diagnosis. This one has also had the seatbelt warning issue and the horn will occasionally beep twice when you shut off the truck.

Is having a $42k vehicle be reliable too much to ask?????
Last Wednesday I went to back my '25 Lariat Hybrid out of the garage, and the door wouldn't even open. Same result with the other key fob. I figured it was a dead battery, and called AAA. They jump started it. I called my Ford dealer, and they told me to come get a new battery. After I had been there for a while, they told me that my battery was ok. It was some mysterious electrical problem! I took my truck back home and haven't had the problem again. I plan to bring it back to them on a Monday, so they can have 5 days to figure it out. Sorry you have had such bad luck!

Serious question here. You said you were locked out of your Maverick but then said AAA jump started it. Did you use the emergency key in your FOB to get into the vehicle so you could open the hood by pulling the lever twice?

How many times has your Maverick hybrid gone into deep sleep?

Have you not demanded a replacement battery since it is more than obvious that this one has been killed by the charging/dischargung problems that creates deep sleep?

Are you taking the word of a service writer who is likely reading from a script?

If you bought it there, you may need to go to the general manager of the dealership if they give you the runaround.

Please let everyone know what was ultimately wrong with it, the fix and the price, please. Good luck!

Sorry to hear your woes. I bought a first year out car once and swore I'd never do it again. It had a shimmy that never did get resolved. But your 2025 having problems now? That's just crazy. Enough to make you never want buy a Ford product again. Good luck on your fix, and for me as well. I have a 26 on order and hope all these issues are ironed out. I'll have 40k into it though my 2013 f150 is running just fine now. Good luck!!

Yes, we used the emergency key. This is the first problem that I have had starting this vehicle.

Sorry you keep having problems. My 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid now is 10 months old with 9K miles and zero issues. Love this little truck and the 43.8 MPG overall fuel mileage.

No real issues from my Maverick hybrid Lariat AWD. 5500 miles. Had a 360 degree camera update done due to artifacting and that's about it. Drive it every day.

Wait. You paid $42K for it?
Yikes.
In Canada, 59,000 for a 2025 XLT Hybrid AWD with 4K towing package, sprayed in liner and a tonneau cover......

Random double toot is not just on the MAV. had the occasional double toot on my 2020 Escape as well.

My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB was $31,510 so IMO the Lariat AWD Hybrid with the 4K package is not worth over $10,000 more than My Maverick.Which I love so far with almost 4,000 miles on it.
You're right. I don't think your Mav is worth $7k more than mine, either.
IMO

It won't be the last. Congratulations as you have now joined the many others with a 2025 that came with a factory AGM battery that are now also getting the premature death of that battery, caused by the known defects in the vehicle, that create the deep sleep problems that occur just prior to the final demise of the battery. A problem that Ford still won't provide a universal permanent fix for.

I'm bringing my '24 XLT Hybrid back to Ford for the second time due to it constantly going into deep sleep mode. Maybe they will offer me the AGM battery. From what I'm reading here it sounds like there is no fix for this yet. Not good.

Sorry you are having these problems . frustrating for sure . had my 22 ecoboost for 4 years with about 10k miles on it . still had numerous recalls to be done , oil change due , insurance bill due and new owners of dealership ( not good imo ). All chores / projects done , so decided to sell . carvana offered me $28 k . To good to pass up imo . gone . my truck had 3 oil changes and some software recalls done at dealership and no other problems . Did have low battery but seemed to resolve when I stopped using start/ stop function . Didn't want to deal with any further issues but still had 5 year/60k major warranty which probably helped with value . Miss truck occasionally but glad I sold . I am retired and still have Camry plus motorcycle . I can always rent/ borrow truck if needed .
