On mine the light blink speed is normal, but the dash indicator is hyper flashing.
Just had it done and mine are also flashing fast on the dash but normal outside. Seems like a bug?

I have a gut feeling that Ford is not gonna extend any effort in making a change to their update. If it works correctly in the factory configuration but not for lastfit or whatever bulb manufacturer, their stance will be that's on the owner and/or aftermarket bulb manufacturer. Just my guess....
oh yes, of course.

Don't know if anyone else has done it yet, but I just sent a message to Lasfit asking if they were aware of the situation and working on a fix.

The whole point of expensive CANbus ready bulbs is so they work properly with the vehicle, so I hope they will have a fix.

Hi all,

So, the recall will affect the old version of front 4257 Lasfit (even though the recall is for the rear lights outage notification)? Also some of you have had the new T3 4257 Lasfit and the recall did not affect anything?

They're much brighter than stock, and more likely be be noticed by the driver behind you. Not to mention an LED lights up quicker than a standard incandescent bulb being instant on at full brightness as opposed to to sort of ramp up to the brightness of the filament.

To check for a program bug you would have to measure the actual draw and compare to the design draw and compare that to the design range and also verify the sensor(s) are reading properly. A quick easy would be to just reinstall the factory bulbs. They should work or not work and the dash light which is blinking under program control just like the bulbs are doing which is not necessarily in time with each other. If the measured design current is out of range then the computer will fast blink dash to let driver know something is not working as designed. Thus an incandescent that is not burning as brightly as it's supposed to can cause a fast blink. If the factory bulbs operate and are properly detected then the LEDs need to be replaced with ones that pull current range.

Why are you taking a screwdriver to a brand new vehicle to replace perfectly good bulbs?

There are a variety of reasons. First I would say is "to each their own"...aka they will do what they want to. Not trying to throw stones or pick fights, but will give my $0.02.

For me my reasons are 1. LED should hypothetically last longer (assuming they are good build quality). Just because they are new bulbs does not mean they will last a year or 2 or 3. (same can be said about LEDs, but in general they should last longer) 2. Brighter and almost instant light output....safety increases. Meaning its easier to be seen and faster to be seen than incandescent bulbs. Many facts and studies back this up. 3. More unique. If I were to park in a lot full of Mavericks, I prefer to have mine stand out instead of blending in with every other Maverick...with that being either stickers, paint, different wheels/tires...etc. All things I like/enjoy to make mine different than the rest.

Also seeing LEDs use less energy, one could make the assumption that its less strain on the electrics. And seeing how most new vehicles are multiple computers on wheels... could be a good thing to put less stress on.

I also decided to look at a couple of your posts to see if I could find something that relates to you, of which I think I did. I had a 2009 Escape prior to this. I towed a couple small things all within the manufacturers specs over my 13yrs of ownership. Never had to worry about anything. The post I am referring to you commented on is that you towed things in the past and even have added transmission cooler to the vehicle(s). Why would you do that? Could the vehicle not actually tow a single item without it? Did you have one just laying around and wanted to see if it would work/fit?.... I know, I know, its not apples to apples, but the idea I feel still applies... that people are going to do what they want to do. And again I am not trying to start any issues. Just referencing why you would add transmission coolers when vehicles can tow without them, and why people would swap bulbs if they didnt need to. Personal reasons.

Um, LEDs are BRIGHTER, and longer lasting. The bulbs work fine, and there was no issue prior to Ford screwing around with reprogramming his truck. We live in an area with mountains, and quite often there is FOG when we have to cross one or both of them. The brighter LED bulbs make a HUGE difference in how visible we are during those situations! The bulbs presented no problems for several months until Ford messed with the truck!
Oh, and by the way, just because "you don't see a reason for something", doesn't mean no legitimate reason exists.
I'll never understand what prompts people to chime in when they have NOTHING useful or constructive to add to the conversation?
What's useful and constructive is

Because it didn't have a transmission cooler.
All Mavericks come with bulbs.
No, I was just wondering about the LED thing.
I have a friend/acquaintance who won't shut up about them.
He has them in his cars and boats creating pretty patterns with his key FOB. It's underwhelming to me. Less energy, brighter, OK, it's just not something all that much better to swap something that is perfectly good already.
And then have problems with the flashers.
I get it, to each his own, I just have enough to do.

My Maverick I just took to the dealer to get it fixed as well. But same exact thing is happening to mine. I have the nicer front switch backs. But basically everything is redone. What’s funny and weird. If you put on the hazard lights they blink normal speed.

If they're CANBUS LEDs with a load resistor built in they don't necessarily use that much less power because they're turning it into heat.

I did not upgrade yet. I thought I read T3 wasn't hyperflashing after recall, but I misread post #28.
Ohhh okay, I have those front lights the 4257 T3, and after the recall I also have the same issue as everyone else.
