So my son and I both installed LASFIT LED bulb packages in our Mavericks, (his 2022 EB AWD XLT Lux, mine 2023 Hybrid XLT Lux). He had his serpentine belt replaced under warranty, and they did the Turn Signal update, now he has Hyper-Flash. Anyone else experience this?

The update probably made the BCM more sensitive to lower turn signal load so it will trigger bulb-outage when only bulb is out. Would probably need to add a load resistor or use FORSCAN just to disable bulb outage detection.

Have him check the bulbs. One of mine partially unseated, and I just happened to notice it when locking the truck that only one of the two bulbs on the driver side went bright momentarily. - Pulled it out, reseated, been fine since.

Just maybe it's something simple and not actually a result of the update. I also have them installed, but haven't been in a hurry to get the updates done. (Also have the emissions recall to do as well, along with the yet to be released fix for the last fire recall).

We did reseat them. No change.

LASFIT LED bulbs sure seem to be problematic especially in the Maverick.

What prompts people to replace perfectly working bulbs with aftermarket LED bulbs?

What do they gain except hastles like this.

They're MUCH brighter, and light up quicker than the stock incandescent bulb. The hope is you're less likely to get rear-ended, by being more noticeable to the tailgater looking at their phone.

Any chance adding a simple load resistor fixes the problem? I still have a couple left from my Outback, which were needed to prevent the Christmas Tree lights on the dash when replacing the brake/running lights on that vehicle.

I have the LASFIT LED bulbs in my Mav and have had no issues with hyper flash. haven't had the recall turn signal thing done yet. my LASFIT bulbs have resistors built into them so Im not anticipating a problem. I would check with LASFIT to see if they have the bulbs with the resistor for your Mav. I have a Lariat trim so mine didnt need the switchback version.

I'm experiencing the hyper flash issue after having the turn signal recall completed. Awaiting response from Lasfit to see if this is a known issue.

Thanks for posting! I have changed out almost all my lighting to LEDs, so I guess I will not get the software update done. The LEDs are much brighter and I feel it gives me a little extra level of safety.

Had the turn signal recall completed today. I have just the front LASFIT LED turn signal bulbs but no hyper-flash problems today. I do have their newer version front bulbs though.

I remember posts where if some (maybe lasfit's) were left on for awhile the resistors would heat up and loose enough resistance to make maverick think bulb was burned out. (The resistors are there to make the led draw the same as the standard bulbs). Also in some thread(s) someone posted that there is a "bulb type" setting that can be changed with for scan (I have no proof if that's true).

Someone reported having trouble with passenger turn signal coming on if he had auto lights on. So maybe you might want to do it? How will you never get it done as it may or may not be part of any update in the future. But I am one who has dealer do the works oil changes and keep track of recalls, etc. dealer has buy 4 get one free oil change.

It is both sides, and we did reseat the bulbs.....if we replaced both LEDs on one side of the rear with incandescent bulbs, the problem went away. IT's definitely tied tot the software upgrade. We specifically spent extra to buy the LEDs that were "Canbus Ready", so we wouldn't have this problem, then Ford "fixes" the truck! So sick of FORD, I will likely NEVER buy another Ford again! Just my personal thought....
