[hoping this won’t jinx things…]

1 month and 1k in and all systems green.

Yes, there are quirks, but manageable:

1. Discovered, while adjusting a parking position and barely rolling in reverse, that opening the driver’s door (to check alignment with parking stripes) will put the tranny immediately into park. Surprise! An unexpected safety feature
2. USB thumb drive ‘Browse’ function is disabled when rolling, making it tedious to find THAT song you know is there. Easier to work around in city driving, Highway driving a bit of a challenge.
3. Who knew the original IPod would function seamlessly via USB and be visible on the screen? An unexpected plus…

XLT Hybrid Lux delivered in June. Had 6k+ miles after 4k road trip with no problems. Decided to sell and take equity to put down on new XL 4k I’m picking up next week at Granger.

Got mine in August, currently have 10k miles on it. No problems. Love the smooth transmission more than I ever thought I would. Towed a popup camper, my boat, did 3 1500+ mile road trips. Commute 34 miles one way to work, average lifetime MPG 39.7. Love the hybrid - wish the bed was a little longer but I knew what I was getting either way. LOVE it.

I read so many posts about problems. I thought it would be great to hear from owners with the hybrid engine that have had no problems.
I'm planning on ordering a 2023 when the order banks open. That's why I posted here.
No problems up to 5500 miles wife is in love with the truck.

12K miles in 4 months of ownership. A lot of highway, towing and hauling but still averaging 37.8 MPG overall. The only issue has been the occasional low-speed braking problem common to others. Ford has been working on a software fix, and I'm patient. It's a minor bug.

Oct 2022 build. About 1200 miles so far. No problems at all, other than some CarPlay connectivity issues. About 80% highway driving and overall MPG is a touch over 40mpg. Really happy with the truck.

16,000 plus miles now and she is purring like a cat. Not one single issue thus far other than the recalls. I couldn't be more happy with the hybrid. I average around 38.7 mpg with mixed driving. Sure beats the 18 mpg I was getting in my Chevy.

just take this food for thought (and I'm sure many have already posted here about that).

Most people will post in forums when they have a question/problem with the car. Not as many people will post when they are satisfied with the car (typical human nature).

All the problems with the hybrid are fixable albeit inconveniences being a 1st/2nd generation vehicle that can be ironed out. You're still paying a rock bottom price for a hybrid (and I'm not going to use the argument of "its a cheap truck so you get what you pay for"). You also have initial warranty.

If you want one of the most affordable hybrids out there with the added bonus of of a truck bed, this is a no brainer. Don't base it on a forum where you see a small %overall of people who have questions/problems (me included but I dont regret buying the Mav whatsoever)

Two months and 3k miles in and it's been flawless. Average MPG is 38, Eco mode and very normal driving are an every day event. Ditto far ends of parking lots with a backed in and protected left side ideal spots.

Had the car since the end of March. No problems at a little over 15k miles.
