There was a poll on this issue done here on MTC. 15% reported electrical problems. Not a great source, but a lot better than random anecdotes. You got a better number?

The problem evidently takes time to manifest. Stay tuned for additional reports.

I am aware of the poll. A random poll on a Maverick forum and you're gonna go with that number? If it was a 15% failure rate of every hybrid built and sold around the globe, Ford would have stopped production immediately. 15% is huge, and dealers would be inundated with dead hybrids. Of course I don't know the number, but no way in hell is it 15% of all hybrids built. Done.

Getting close to 10k miles, no issues, love the mileage. This was my best mileage on a trip yet. All city driving, I suspect a slight downward slope geographically.

Not sure where to ask this so I'll ask it here - Can you play music from a thumb drive on one of the USB ports in the Mav through the radio? We do this on our Ford Edge (it has sync 4) but was wondering if you can do this on the Mav with it's non sync system?

I have had 0 problems. The brakes are poorly programmed and they should do a software update to better manage low speed braking, but I have not had a single problem with the truck. Fingers crossed that the later hybrids don't have the wiring harness issue.

100% of them use the defective harness. It’s only a matter of time.

Apologist, because I said you pulled that 15% out of your butt! You don't know what the percentage of dead mavericks there are so stop the nonsense. No I won't join you saying there is 15% when reality is no one knows. If and when mine dies, I'll get it fixed and then keep on trucking! It's why it has a freaking warranty.

No problems. 45.6 mpg just under 6000 miles. Had multiple offers to purchase.

5k miles with no issues on my lariat hybrid.

Runs great and only complaint, like many others, would be the low speed braking.

4800 miles and a few quirks but no issues.

Quirk #1 - Electric mode doesn't come on over 110F. That is due to my climate though and most won't even see this.
Quirk #2 - The brakes take some time to get used to.

Add me to the list... Built mid-September, I'm quite pleased with my baby truck. I'm surprised how I've become accustomed to the heated steering wheel. Mileage is generally around low 40's with a lot of up and down Schuylkill county 'mountains'.

Only 'issue' to speak of would be design on wiper park area. Not being flush with hood (like other vehicles), it collects debris. Most specifically, tulip poplar seeds. These nasty buggers travel right under the side drains and down into the A pillar channel. Silly design in my opinion. I'll have to try a strip of scotchbrite to block debris but pass water.
