I would suspect in that instance the vehicle would immediately die after a jump source was disconnected or present a no-power condition again as the vehicle would have no 12V charging with the DC-DC converter functionally disconnected with the 300a fuse blown. Rather than just dipping low.

I doubt it's related, but wanted the new ssm posted, for more information for the MTC members...I believe weak batteries and connectivity issues are causing most people's problems...just my opinion...

May 4 2023 New 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair, 2022-2023 Maverick – FHEV/PHEV - 12V Battery Voltage Low Or Discharged With DTC U3003:62 Stored In The DC/DC
Some 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair equipped with 2.5L engine full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain and 2022-2023Maverick vehicles equipped with 2.5L engine FHEV powertrain may exhibit a condition where the 12V battery voltage is low or discharged with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3003:62 stored in the direct current/direct current converter control module (DC/DC). The vehicle may also exhibit DTC U3003:16 and/or U3000:04 stored in the DC/DC module. This may be due to an open in the 300 amp mega fuse located in the high current battery junction box (BJB). To correct this condition, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-05>Pinpoint Test H1 to verify the 300amp mega fuse condition, replace the fuse upon confirm it is open. Test and recharge the 12v battery.
I am in the middle of an absolute NIGHTMARE with my dealership. In 49 days of owning my 2023 XLT Hybrid it's been at the dealership for 12 of them. I JUST this morning picked up my truck after 10 days of waiting for a battery monitor sensor to be installed...only for my truck to go into deep sleep mode 30 minutes after I left the dealership and parked at work.

Seeing this SSM is a godsend and I'm praying that my dealership will look into this. I can't believe how unwilling they are to do anything beyond replace my 12V battery, make me wait 10 days for the battery monitor sensor, and then tell me an hour after I have left that it's up to me to figure it out.

And then I stumble into this SSM - which perfectly describes what's been happening and could very well be the cause of my battery issue.

Is there any other information, advice or background as to when/where this was posted so that if I need to escalate this further on the dealership chain of command I can at least have some valid data to provide them.

Please and thank you - I appreciate any help I can get with this.

Man I hate to hear about your issues. as far as I’ve seen it doesn’t impact everyone, I’m curious as to what the rhyme or reason is.
is that ford posting meant for the consumer or for the mechanics looking into it?

Hello,

So unfortunately the issue persists even with the 2023 model. Mine was built in March, I took delivery about 6 weeks ago and since then I've had two completely dead batteries and countless deep sleeps. Many times, I'll come out in the morning and the auto locks will not work, no lights come on, etc.

I don't know if it's a luck of the draw thing, pun intended, but there are definitely a lot of us who have this problem.

Early 2022 models did have a wiring harness issue that apparently has been addressed, but lots of us have trucks built many months after and are still plagued with this problem.

I invested in a good quality Hulkman 2000A battery pack jumper. I just ordered a trickle charger, both a traditional plug-in and a solar powered one.

I've tried everything from disabling Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the truck, to keeping my keys in a signal blocking Faraday bag. I've tried parking far away from my house. The problem keeps coming back.

The dealer replaced my original 12 volt battery with a new one two weeks ago, the very next day my truck went into deep sleep.

It's a huge buzz kill and a terrible burden unfortunately. I wish you the best of luck, but I really suggest at the very least getting yourself a good trickle charger and a good jump battery pack in case you fall into the minority who suffer from this problem.

Last but not least, I've spoken with three different dealerships in Orange County, all of whom I suspect really don't understand what's happening. I would love to be proven wrong though...we shall see.

My truck's been at the dealer for the last 10 days and "should be" ready by Friday 🙏
How long did you have your truck the first time this happened? Miles? I have a March 6, 23 build and have had no problems...yet (furiously knocking on wood). I do drive my truck every day so maybe that helps? I dunno.

Yeah, pretty similar truck to be honest. I ordered in October 2021 and picked it up March 17, 2023. It was built 3/04/23 and shipped the very next day to SoCal. I put 2,000 miles on it the first month. The first time it happened was about 2 weeks after I got it - so mid-April - and it's since only happened more. It's had the 12V battery replaced, it's had the battery monitor sensor replaced, and just this morning not even an hour after leaving the dealership it entered deep sleep mode.

I've tested in all morning/afternoon and it's showing about 12.23 - 12.21 volts each time I go downstairs and pull out my voltage meter.

I called my dealership the moment I saw the new SSM and pleaded with them to take a look and agree to take my truck back, for a third time, so that perhaps something might get done.

What's worse is that BOTH times I've taken it in, I've not received the paperwork for what was done. I have asked repeatedly for the documentation to only be told "I'll have the tech finish it up and email it" or "we will mail it to you". If I didn't HAVE to leave for work I would have not taken it without getting the paperwork first...

I'm a sucker, I suppose. What's worse is that this is the dealership much farther from my house - I chose them because of their stellar reputation. My personal dealership where I ordered from is like a shanty town in comparison. And yet, here I am....

I hate to be the negative poster, but it's just ridiculous at this point. I've turned off all the connectivity, I've deleted FordPass, I keep my keys in a faraday bag, I turn off my screen, stereo and A/C before I depart the car, I drive in Low mode every single time I'm about to finish my commute, I don't sit in the car for even 10 seconds once I've parked, I've done the BMS reset, but NOTHING has made the slightest difference. If anything, it's only gotten worse.

10 days at the dealership and it goes into deep sleep not even 1 hour after I pull of their lot. Unacceptable.

Man, I feel for you. It REALLY sucks to have a new vehicle do this to you. I guess I've been lucky so far and strange that trucks built 2 days apart are so different. Only problem I've had was a woman backing into me in a parking lot 1 week after I got the truck.
